Just took a call off my manager, and good grief a private agency running a supporting living service for enduring Mental health has just handed it back to local authority as they can't manage in the current climate and I just been offered over time for the first time in 10 years.o_O

People dont seem to get that you can do a fairly long walk or run without ever being far from your home. Multiple laps of a local area probably a good idea right now for any exercise.

Indeed. I don't really understand how you can watch or listen to medics from ICU practically begging people to stay at home, and then think "sod it, I'm going to go out for several hours." It just doesn't compute. These poor sods are working through unimaginable circumstances, and make one request of us, and it's beyond some people.

?????????????????
Some post on here were disgusting about Boris ......LBC now is staff on the front line telephoning in - horrific way to die - and the word stay in is nailed on - anyone from five years old to 90 years old if on a ventilator you have 50/50 chance of living - stay in - as much as you can is the answer - it's heart wrenching to listen too......

Not sure precisely what local means to you, but going 30-40km away from home certainly isn't what I'd refer to as local. It's not about discouraging exercise, it's about doing it in a sensible way. I would love to say I'm surprised that you adopt an "I'm alright Jack" attitude, but I'm really not.

I'm probably never more that 5-10 km from my house. I live in the countryside, not a city. I did a 2 hour ride on Sunday (40km) didn't see 1 other person..

Now if i went for a run or walk i'd see a lot more!
