Wonder if this thing has mutated?

Seems weird how at first it was only the elderly and those with underlying problems were dying now it seems everyone is fair game for this thing including kids/teenagers.

it’s to do with viral load mostly. The vast majority of younger people dying are those who works in the health services.
But also, it wasn’t only the elderly. Kids were still dying, just to a much lower mortality rate.
Looking at it cynically, I guess old people dying of it isn’t news anymore so those younger are reported more which gives a perception that it’s affecting younger people a lot more than it is.
I’m guessing if you took NHS workers out of the sample, the figures would look as you would expect.

Not a dig at you sis, but im getting a bit sick of people saying "We are going to do this" and then it not happening.

I've stopped watching the news, including the daily conferences, for that very reason because a lot of the things being said are pure conjecture.

In reality, people and the press want confirmed and definite answers and unfortunately they can't be given at the moment for a multitude of different reasons.

The only thing we can be sure of is how many people are dying each day, so I use that as the barometer for how things are working.

It's something that has been passed down for generations and that is the belief that their freedom is by far the most important thing to them and many of them would see being told to stay in as an attack on that freedom no matter the reason.

Why? Because they can and they feel it is important to push the limits of their freedom regardless of the cost, and their response to corona-virus has been similar.

Ha I wouldn’t say I’m blind, I’ve actually looked into it a lot, I just don’t think it’s true.

Think we might be lucky to get a championship in 2020 mate, the GAA could be in a bit of trouble in my opinion, not for profit organisation of just south of turnover of 75 mill, largely driven by the championship gate.

The loss of the championship could see a huge financial impact with very little financial distribution from county all the way down to grassroots. That’s my concern for the GAA now to be honest mate.

It would be a pity, think Armagh could be a bolter.

I don't think you are any where near going off topic, it's an issue that they have and the numbers with the virus prove that. As people on here know I'm not in full agreement with the idea of Lockdown and think a better approach would be somewhere between what Sweden are doing and what the UK are doing. But am I staying in and adhering to the recommendations yes I am. You couldn't tell that to alot of Americans "even if you don't agree it would be best to do it" you'd be shot.

I know, i'll leave me tin foil hat off for the moment, but China quite clealy working this whole situation to a greater plan - we'll get through this and stumble into a sino-west coldwar and they'll employ North Korea as the nuclear keeper of the peace.
