Of course, it's equally important that the politicians don't shift all blame/responsibility onto the scientists so that any criticism for events is loaded onto their shoulders rather than their own. Johnson has an awful lot of form for this, so it's perhaps too much to expect him to front up this one. For people to own up to mistakes requires a degree of confidence that they aren't going to be thrown under the bus for making them. Hopefully the government won't do that with Witty and the other scientists informing affairs at the moment.

I think that the politicians and the scientific and medical people are doing a good team job at the moment. Mistakes have obviously been made but thankfully no fingers have been pointed and little time is being wasted defending positions. We are where we are and we appear to have a unified effort......

For your next trip to Tesco

Hopefully it stays that way, as there is likely to be a postmortem however this plays out. Hopefully they will remain united, and indeed have something of a restored faith in the value of experts.

Thats what impressed me most about Professor JVT today. He said that some things the experts did, could actually be wrong. That they are not sure about tests yet. They dont know everything yet.

They can only go by what they reckon is ball park, based on what they do know about similar illnesses and infections.

They know a lot do medics and scientists, but they are clever enough to know they dont know everything.

I think it will. I know you said Boris has form, but he also has confidence, both in himself and his electoral mandate. He also has the personality to brush away future criticisms or to just say sorry we messed up. People forgive Boris in a way no other politician can get away with.......

Apart from starting out with a murderous Plan A; contradicting their own advice at every turn; lying about the extent of the testing programme; shoving NHS front line staff into a storm with either inadequate or no personal protective equipment.

You really are making an utter tit of yourself here.

Perhaps we should acquaint you with a mirror......

Weird how younger people have suddenly started dying more frequently from the virus - seems like its becoming more lethal rather than weakening as many viruses tend to do over time.

This.

And now it has the political cover that the herd didn’t follow instructions and went about their lives.

Glad it’s not just me , I simply can’t see that it’s anything else . I sit here thinking maybe it’s my broken brain but I can’t see there is any other way of looking at it . No imminent vaccine , no mass testing , no Back tracking of Those infected .

This is second hand via his daughter but I know someone who went to hospital by ambulance in Liverpool a couple of days ago. Was told they felt he had corona , received some basic triage/treatment and was sent home later the same evening and told they only test in icu And to isolate and monitor his condition .

So other than my opinion and yours , it’s hard to see what the plan is here .

Question if anyone can help because I've googled but can't find the answer

I'm self employed so obviously not working now for I don't know how many weeks, so come June I'll claim the 80% back from the government, I was wondering if I claimed universal credit, would that stop me be8ng able to claim those wages back?

Am i right in thinking if I put myself on the dole now then the government could say im not entitled to claim lossed earnings?

Also I've lashed sawdust at my phone and no answer
