Rumours abound, that a lot of recently bought and paid for PPE in Europe, isn’t meeting the quality standard that was promised when purchased. Like the Dutch instance last week.

As i was saying. Countries are so desperate they are being sold pups.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you.....

”RTÉ News confirmed that these smaller gowns were discovered in new PPE supplies to hospitals and by National Ambulance Service staff in Dublin, Limerick, Galway, Sligo and Donegal within the past three days.

The gowns are understood to be supplied from China.”

I live in London and it has been dead around here since the stringent measures were introduced.

My town is very quiet. Everyone is queuing in the new way, 1 in 1 out, pretty good humoured in the main.

I was already conditioned to be spending a lot of time at home anyrate, so I dont really mind it, but in that respect, I feel quite fortunate. It must be very difficult for many households though.

I got wind of this yesterday, but i can reassure my fellow Paddy's, it was only one 1/4 of the gowns that had 3/4 length arms.

To put into perspective the NHS use 3/4 length gowns but they use gauntlet gloves (go up the arms so no skin exposed) were that wouldn't be our standard practice, though be grand at a pinch.

Thankfully, the other 3/4's of the order were fine it was the first of daily 200mill order we have arriving every day since Sunday. We are implementing better checks in China now i.e. we are sending a checking and quality control team and are picking them up on our own aircraft from Beijing and bringing them back to Ireland. We negotiated a second supply chain yesterday to. So fingers crossed.

Me too!!!!! I was more reassured when i heard what i posted in my last post, today, after hearing there was problems yesterday. The market is crowded, every government is desperate, want everything quick and money no object bound to be a few pups sold.

Europe (as a region) & States over all could and probably is pay the price for moving almost all manufacturing to the far east.

I‘m hoping that this will teach us to bring manufacturing back home......

A lot of people seem to be just going about their business during the day though.
Its not being enforced in my opinion.

Exactly the same where I live, the novelty seems to have worn off for some people, kid couldn't have been more than 10 or 11, riding a scooter around the street, not a parent in sight. Just an example, but loads of cars driving around as well. 684 victims today, RIP. :(
