That last paragraph is something i completely empathise with .

Funny enough I’d never really spoken about ptsd to anybody since I finished counselling years ago until it kind of leaked out in this forum . I lot of what you say are things I massively identify with and like I say more than even Everton and it’s attached social element it’s the gym I already miss but onwards and upwards I suppose .

Off topic from me and all that so apologies .

Fair play mate, we are probably touching on things we dont need to, but just to say fair play and i know 100% where you are coming from. Im sure many on here have gone through similar experiences or will in the future. I admire you for mentioning it.

Its good and certainly better then it used to be that these things can be acknowledged and validated, the gym like, i cant recommend it highly enough for anyone struggling with a bad patch of stress or mental health as everyone does a times. ;)

Missing it at the moment.

WTH. France. They had around 500 yesterday

Ah...this explains it

On April 2, France reported 884 additional deaths that have occurred in nursing homes over the past days and weeks [source]. The French Government did not include these deaths in their official count, as their count only takes into consideration deaths of hospitalized patients. Following international standards of correct inclusion, our statistics will include these deaths, and will add them to the April 2, 2020 count following the attribution criteria of date of report.

we'll be seeing 1000 deaths a day by next week, by the end of April could be around 5000 a day.

That's only if it's all gone massively wrong and lockdown hasn't worked.

These two weeks were always going to be bad. We should - going off what's happened in other countries - start to see a slow, slight decline in the death rate towards the end of week 3 of lockdown (so next weekend).

There will be a lot of this going on as patient numbers rise and nurse/physicians become infected. And I know you know this, but for those that don't - this is a huge reason for the lock downs. Have to protect these specialized workers or deaths will rise even more because you are going to get healthcare workers that are not trained in critical care/infectious disease at the front lines.

Hopefully places with a current lull are doing what they can to get nurses/physicians cross trained. I know my physicians (family docs) are studying the manual they received on managing ventilators.

Indeed. I know (what seems like an absolute age ago - what the heck is going on with sense of time at the moment?), Witty said that lockdowns had to be used sparingly because people tend to get bored of them and start to disobey instructions after a while. We're due to have lovely weather this weekend, so it will be interesting to see if people stay at home or play silly sods.

Bet they are loading picnics as you speak.
