You sound like Moyes. What’s the point of a manager if it’s always down to the players? Do you think having Neville and Osman in midfield does not have a bearing on the game? Possibly two of the least athletic footballers in the league, against a very mobile Wigan side. To be fair the midfield that Moyes has built is not very mobile at all, but at least Gibson has more about him than Osman and Neville in this regard and he’s also much smarter both in possession and with tactical positioning than Neville is in the same position. Why even start Neville?

As you say we have played that structure many a time and played better, do you think that could be because the opposition was different? Despite Moyes grumblings, he does in fact have a squad of players to choose from. You’d think he had 11 and that was it, but there are players there who could easily have come in and changed the make up of the side to combat Wigan’s physical threat and to impose Everton’s will on the game. Instead he chose a very pedestrian side, who started as if they expected to win, and got over-ran by a Wigan side who were very much up for the occasion.

The players can take a share of the blame but a lot of that is down to the preparation from the manager, and he seemed to have got it badly wrong on Saturday.

To answer your first three sentences:

Maybe I am.......I never said always.... of course they did.

I should not have said all on the players... but the majority of the blame falls on them which I think you eluded too.

No matter who the opposition, we can play better in that structure. As good as Wigan were, it was more our sh1teness than their brilliance that lost us that game.

We do not know everything that goes on behind the scenes, but I do believe moyes is not so thick to not have a logical reason based on years of experience and training for his decisions e.g Gibson/Neville.

I do not agree with all his decisions, but I trust his more than any I would make in that same situation. I pretty much would have liked to have seen the approach everyone on here expected and wanted. He definitely made mistakes and is not perfect.

How little respect have you got for our club and it's heritage mate?

FFS!

What the hell has this got to do with respect for club????

I just dont understand why the situation has got to this point. He should have just signed the contract and if a richer club wanted him it wouldn't be a big deal for them to get him. He's probably had his sights on a champions league team for years, if he was good enough he would have gone years ago.

Im pissed off as much as anyone that he's taking the mick out of the club with stalling his decision.

The majority of the blame should fall on the man who picked a central midfield who had absolutely no chance of controlling the game. From one look at the team sheet the majority new we would lose the midfield battle. we couldn't get the ball in the first half and when we did our centre backs were forced into being the playmakers. The return of the hoof coming back from november 2012.

I don't see why fans from other clubs etc are saying we are being ridiculous for wanting him out.
I have never said Moyes out however even against Bolton, why would you put Heitinga on and settle for a replay? That was luck.
He tries to do the same vs Reading, Norwich and we drop valuable points.

Lets just laugh vs Liverpool, we will get battered with him in charge.

based on what was said on talksport about a contract being there if he wants it i think its time for those who want moyes gone to do something about it. if not its just gonna be a few more years of the same crap

I don't know why people even listen to what others say outside the club. What the fcuk do they know!!. Try asking the people who have sat through his football for 11 years.

What can we do apart from give up our season tickets, which i think will happen if he stays. All the blues i speak to dont rate him.

protest. protest about kenwright at the same time and kill 2 birds with one stone. dont have to worry about it affecting the players because this season has already gone down the ****ter

No mate, they've not, I thought comparing the amount of wins was a little note on that point. Thanks for taking the piss for no reason tho.

I picked Liverpool because it's Liverpool, I'll have a look at someone else if you like.

Last three seasons including this one, Fulham have won 33 of their 104 league games, 10 of which have been won by a margin greater than two goals. That's about 30% of their wins or 10% of their games, win, lose or draw.

In the same period Everton have won 39 of their 104 league games, four of which have been won by a margin greater than two goals. That's about 10% of their wins or 3% of their games, win, lose or draw.

I don't believe any amount of money will change Moyes mindset. He will always revert back to being cautious.

Despite our lack of funds we currently have many first teamers (at least) who are capable of playing attractive football. Instead as a team we just hoof the ball up field as if that is all we can do.

I agree with this, as someone said at the match on Saturday, we could have messi and Ronaldo on the pitch but it wouldn't make any difference as we would still hoof the ball up the field.

I just wish that IF this is effecting the players that at least one, with Everton as their priority, would break ranks and admit it to the fans.
As I mentioned earlier, I'd love to know how much time he spent with the team last week with his moonlighting commitments.
