CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

I think overall Moyes has done a decent job in cups compared to the teams in a similar position to us.

In comparison i think there can be no denying that Moyes' record is terrible against top four teams away, because many teams below us have better records than we do.

I'd say he hasn't done a "bad" job in the FA Cup. That competition is completely dominated by the top five teams in England every single year, so winning it is a big ask.

However, his League Cup record is appalling. That'd be fine if he played a B team or something but he doesn't, we've just been proper crap in it. That said, we traditionally are.

Thank's electricblue. I just didn't want it to become the main issue. It was health actually. After 30 years. It's just I don't think it will be the same if he stays. If we start off badly, will we say it's because he doesn't want to be here. Would he leave us mid- season if a good offer comes along. And would he have that long sullen, can't have what I want face on him. Do you think it will be the same if he stays. [Money wise yes].

I'm not kidding when I say this......

Blue Bill will look no further than Alan Stubbs......

You've stated that , like it's got a basis in fact, when it's nothing more than an opinion.

Kenwright wouldn't chuck Stubbs into the hotseat, with zero managerial experience on his CV imo.

I could not be any more bored of this subject I don't think.

I'm very much of the opinion that everything that could be said has been said.

I'm just waiting to see, and whatever happens happens.

"If he is to leave, he will want to go somewhere he can walk into the chairman’s office during a January transfer window and say “Look, we could do with buying these players” and the money is handed over. He’s not had that before.

Moyes isn’t the type to go courting for other jobs, and I don’t think he’s lying in bed thinking about wanting to leave. He is too busy and too hard-working for that.

He is just waiting to see what happens, and wants to see at the end of his 11th year in charge where exactly the club will be in terms of going forward."

Going forward = Out of my cold dead hands.

I know we all laugh at Benitez but ultimately whether through incredible good luck or not he's won the champions lge as well as the Uefa & FA cups and a couple of la liga's . Whatever we think of him he's certainly won a shed load more trophies than anyone linked to or even filling our job for a few decades .

Benitez's record, particularly at Valencia, speaks for itself, but he's become such a comedy figure in England after his 'facts' rant that I'll be very surprised if he ever gets another job here. I think the main reason he's at Chelsea is because Abramovic is so detached from the fans/media, as well as the lack of options they had available to them.

McClaren is the same. It wouldn't matter if he won ten straight titles in Holland - he'd still be the Wally with a Brolly. Villa fans are probably sorry they reacted so badly to Lerner trying to appoint him though. Big 'Eck makes McClaren look like an all-time great.

It's all getting very real now.
