If he gets an offer which is less money but a team or position that excites him i think he'd take it.

Really don't think Moyes only cares about the money.

agreed lets face it, he's no ballotelli I highly doubt he's a guy that pisses money away and needs to chase the highest paid jobs.

1 final & 2 semis. multiple defeats to lower league sides, capitulations to bog standard European sides and dire performances against the better sides???

Disagree with you there.

To say he's woeful would imply teams in a similar position have done significantly better, and they haven't.

A few lower teams have won a trophy, but that doesn't make our performance awful.

There's championship clubs with a better cup record over the course of his reign.

When we've came up against a half decent side, that being Europe or the english cups we've bottled it under Moyes.

By bottled I mean we've never really gone after the games. With the exclusion of Fiorentina at home. However the damage was done in the away leg where we didnt look a threat at all.

Which ones ?

There are clubs that have won a single trophy but havn't been in any others for more than a few rounds, Moyes tends to give us a cup run every year, but smaller clubs have won trophies.
To win one though requires luck, to be near one every season takes money, or a decent manager imo. Moyes has done well but not delivered the sacred cow so has failed from that perspective.

No denying that he's failed to win us a trophy, but i think it's a bit of a myth that his record in cups is really bad. I don't see many teams below us doing consistently better.

As you said, there's a large element of luck in cup runs.

Rate an FA Cup Semi Final higher than a League Cup final myself.

Plus, weren't their draws easy in both instances ?

In terms of prestige I agree with you, but the effort required to reach both finals are pretty much the same. Point is Cardiff have come closer to winning a trophy in the last decade than Moyes has, and even took Liverpool to penalties in one.

Agree entirely, I think he's done us pretty well and I am confident of another decent run, possibly even some silverware but until he does he always has that failure hanging over him.
Personally I still don't understand why its deemed that he bottles every pressure situation but the Liverpool and Untied games don't count during that season we reached the final.
There is clearly an element of either lucky or rich in the cup, can't think of any averagely funded team during Moyes reign that's won two but I am sure I will be corrected.
Personally I think that the fact that only 1 or 2 managers can be considered capable of replacing him speaks volumes about his talent, but if you don't like, you'll always see a different perspective to those that do I guess.

I think overall Moyes has done a decent job in cups compared to the teams in a similar position to us.

In comparison i think there can be no denying that Moyes' record is terrible against top four teams away, because many teams below us have better records than we do.
