So we are planning for next season and will continue to do so with a manager that is at best waiting for offers . Do we spend our meagre budget on a moyes player that a new manager might not fancy or do we drag our feet and potentially miss out on targets , what If the players a new manager fancies has already gone , what about Felliani and Baines do we sell for funds or keep who makes that decision moyes ? Even though he might nor be here . How about if we get a replacement in mind but other clubs come for him do we just wait for moyes to get an offer or make his mind up ?

That's all off the top of my head , do you not think any of that could damage us next season ?

No sheeds is my honest answer. I think Moyes is focused on this season eg Cup and CLF which is in the same interests of the owner. I think moyes knows who he wants for squad additions but like most transfer windows it,s the same problem sell to buy which he wants to see changed eg Bill moving the club forward.

I have no doubt he's focused on our performance and I'm not convinced it'll effect us although historically it has effected other teams . I'm surprised that you don't think it at least has the potential to seriously effect us next season

Anything that puts pressure on the Board is good.

I agree. I think we've probably reached a point where Everton can't afford to pay Moyes much more than he's already earning, and so there isn't really anything new the board can offer him to stay. Anyone thinking that Moyes is going to bully Kenwright into finding investment or selling up is living in a fantasy world.

I'll always hold Moyes in high regard for the job he's done here, but as I've said before, it'll leave a sour taste in my mouth when he leaves due to the limited ambitions of a board he went out of his way to endorse when it suited him.

Moyes has always known the score with regards to finances though. From when he joined to when he signed his last contract extension. I think he would have left last time if a club had have come in for him. I think politically he plays the media game perfectly. He seems to both back the board and also distance himself from them to suit his own agenda. The media perception of Moyes, far outweighs his actual ability.

I think the club should take a stance now and if he’s not prepared to commit his future to the club then put him on gardening leave, and install someone else to take charge. As Sheeds said, there is a danger that this affects the future of the club, and perhaps more importantly, there is also the danger that it completely derails this season and what is perhaps out best chance to get to Wembley for quite some time.

Gardening leave??

LOL

So he is weighing up the situation.....qualify for the CL and/or win the FA Cup and he might stay. Don't qualify or win FA Cup and he's off!!! Yeah OK David. If I was BK and co I would see if we reached the cup final then tell him to do one. I can't understand anyone who condones his stance....he is acting like he is God. Sorry but i would be a [Poor language removed] and say tara, thanks but who do you think you are!! He has gone about this all wrong.

Not really, he's acting someone who wants to see where things stand when his contract runs out. Hows that acting like god?

If Moyes has gone and Bill is still here next season then yes it will effect us and every season after that till the king without any clothes has gone.

I personally beleive that if Moyes signs a new contract then he will throw himelf 1000% percent into it but I don,t see how will he sign a new contract when the owners cannot match his ambition.

The owner needs to sell up for all oursakes Moyes or No Moyes.

Well if you can't see that he thinks he is bigger than the club and acting like a God then my friend that is entirely your opinion. I would rather the board be bastards and say thanks for all you have done now do one. That is entirely my opinion which is different from yours so neg rep me again if you wish.

I can see from his point of view why he'd want to do it but its everton that's my main concern not moyes' career.

Come the summer Kenwright will know exactly where he stands regarding Moyes so all those issues mentioned like who gets to sell Fellaini or not, who buys what players etc will almost certainly be resolved. Say what you like about Moyes, he's been here too long not to care about how he leaves us I'm sure.
He'd want to go out with everything in order and with the respect of his fans as well after doing so well for so long to throw it away for a month or so would seem very illogical to me.
He's not going anyway so I'm not worried. On these forums he goes every season, along with Baines and Fellaini, i'll wait to something happens before I worry.

I hope Kenwright sells, but seriously how many buyers are there out there? I'm talking the right kind....not the Blackburn or Portsmouth kind. Someone who wants to invest in Everton....and not pick the team, allow the manager time to build his squad and not sack whoever is in charge after 2 defeats.

I'm not saying we're better off with Bill in charge....but I'd rather Bill than the guy who took over at Portsmouth.

Oh and since this is the Moyes thread, I think if we do well, he'll sign - if the players don't perform he'll be off somewhere.

You see I think he may well stay but only if there isn't a good enough offer .

Discussing your post when do you think he'll 'make his mind up ' ? Do you think he'll do it after the last game of the season , a few weeks after or a month ? What if Manchini or Wenger go but nobody is appointed by the time the players come back will he sign the or wait and see ? I can certainly see your point mate but hopefully you can see mine

If i was BK i would sell the club at a reasonable price.
