Tell you what, go and speak to a farmer in Kenya who have seen their seasons change completely in the last 15 years. Or somebody in Florida who's home has been flooded by surge tides 3 times in the last decade and none for the previous 2 decades. Go talk to people in Israel who are relying on desalinating sea water for reliable drinking water as the ground water level has receded so much the sea of Galilee is no longer sustainable. Or go to talk to my friend in Puerto Rico who was homeless for 4 weeks and had to walk for two days to get to the only mobile phone mast still operating to let people know she was alive after the strongest hurricane they ever had.

You can tell them it's all nonsense and see what response you get.

Good to see a couple of these protesters getting a good shoeing on the tube this morning - about time.
Public transport is a big part of the solution and not the problem. It is also a relatively low carbon method of transportation. Talk about not know your target audience?

On a side note I was in Sweden for a few days last week and more people are interested in Greta's mother - a famous opera singer and a bit of a MILF from all reports.

I have no sympathy for them. Not for what they are protesting for, but the way they are going about it.
People can protest if it is peaceful & lawful - no problem. But don't be surprised if people react negatively to the methods they have used and the targets they have chosen. As one commuter on the tube told the protesters: that he had to get to work to feed his children. To pick the London tube as a target was simply beyond stupid on every level. It's good to hear they have now cancelled their planned protests at Gatwick airport.
One these idiots turned up on the Piers Morgan show dressed as a piece of Broccoli and had a banana as a phone. They wonder why they are not being taken seriously?
The general public of this country are on the whole, extremely patient. But these protesters seem to have lost the plot. It is no surprise that the general public have now started to turn against them.

1 yes this was a crap idea, most of them will admit that.

2. The bigger picture, perspective. A man dressed as broccoli (who incidentally got many people taking note again, which is what they are trying to do) or the state of the planet. So many of you take small issues and make them a whole reason to disregard the issue at hand that they, and it seems only they, are raising awareness of. Peoplle like you, Pete Dan whatever his fat name is again using every chance to shoot them down for some thing insignificant compared to what they are protesting about. It is madness.

But Jakarta will be 90% underwater by 2050 hence them changing the capital thats going to cost billions, ruin hundreds of thousands of lives and create masses of climate migrants. Though I'm sure you would be happy to accept climate migrants as its all made up anyway?
