Where's this from? Was there scientific consensus that we'd be entering another ice age by 1974? If you've got the stats and reports on this I'd be really interested.
Let’s hope your family don’t have any urgent medical needs that require an ambulance, or the fire service or police for that matter. As they may take three times as long to get to them because some scruffs have decided to set up camp with their tents in the middle of a busy junction.

Every scientist of every age knew more than those who preceded them, therefore they believed they were correct. 50 years from now another group of scientists will be telling us the complete opposite.......
Back in the 60’s we only had newspapers which no longer exist and TV programmes which no longer exist, but each of us from that generation will tell you that we were told we are entering a new ice age.

Why do you hate them so much?
One of my family member MIGHT be delayed on the way to hospital because some people have taken time out of their lives to try and raise awareness of our plight.
im very happy with those odds And my family who are also decent, selfless people also understand it’s a risk worth taking.
But at least you can get your kicks trying to belittle what they are doing.

Yeah, this really isn't a scientific consensus you're showing here. It's a poor article in a magazine. This isn't a they said/they said thing, this isn't both sides are equal. It has no relevance to this debate apart from the fact, as the article quoted explains, this has caused damage as it allows people free reign to use it to erroneously argue against climate change.

But it’s not just one of your family members being delayed, it’s tens of thousands of people being delayed. People trying to get to work, to hospital appointments or what ever.
A lot of these protestors are career protestors just looking for an excuse to block a street and have a bit of anarchy. They would probably protest about breathing oxygen if meant they could all meet up and block a road.
The others are young middle and upper class living of the bank of mum and dad. Who no doubt will be off on holiday to the tropics when it’s freezing here in a months time. Mum and dad will be paying for that as well. If you want to protest go to the designated site.
All they are doing is losing public patience and more importantly support.

There's a lot of unsubstantiated claptrap there.
That’s my opinion and many have the same view. A lot of these protestors don’t care about the environment and are just using it as an excuse.
Take Hyde park a few months back when they had the protest there. Left it looking like a dump site with rubbish and plastic bottles everywhere. Didn’t seem to care about the environment then when the party was over did they.
You therefore have a fundamental lack of knowledge of what you are talking about.
Firstly, Tommy's isn't a trauma hospital so won't be accepting any super urgent cases.
Secondly, it's based south of the river, so will have a tiny amount of 'business' coming from an area where very few people live.
Thirdly, protests, demonstrations, London Marathons and other such disruptions are commonplace on Parliament Square so the dispatchers (who are based further south on Waterloo Road incidentally) are familiar with navigating such circumstances.
Fourthly, ambulances and other emergency services are getting through. They never cross the bridge quickly, which if you knew the area you'd understand why.
Now you could have thought, "I don't live there, have no personal knowledge to counter what the ambulance service themselves say, I'll keep schtum to avoid looking silly..." but apparently you quite fancied it today.
