I think if they're serious about a top 6 spot, then the only players that would be good enough to start for a top 6 team would be Davies, Vlasic, Besic, Gueye, Pickford, Klaasen, Keane. Everyone else would only be good enough with a spot on the bench or as a backup.

Actually I think the team played better WITH Klaasen in the first few weeks than the last few without.

None of those players are currently good enough to start for any of the top 6 with perhaps only Pickford or Gueye who may get into Liverpool's team, possibly Gueye at Arsenal.

Forget about top 6. This season is about survival which is why I don't think we will have much of a problem attracting a striker. A striker that can then become our backup after we buy a starter in the summer.

Pretty much the same names that Ron failed to clear out last season, with a few of his signings thrown in for good measure.
Its about expectations. The expectations were to move on from being the 7th best team more often than not.
Right now, we'd take that!

But if we are looking to improve to the next level and go to where we thought the investment should take us to, the list will be an awful lot longer.
Not bed wetting, not knee jerking, just simple reality.

Gueye would get nowhere near a top 6 side based on his form this season.
