I'd imagine they went there in support of their brother Muslims. Nobody can argue that the Saudi's have an abysmal human right record. Their bombing of Yemeni woman and children using American supplied arms is particularly horrific.
The thing is, I’d doubt any sincerity from the Arab league on that point. The amount of hostile, often murderous infighting between the different sects of Islam is well known.

Yemen, which you mentioned above, is a majority Islamic country, yet there seems to be little action from the Arab league for an atrocity caused by their own people in their own backyard.

I would doubt they care much for a marginal group when there’s big money contracts and important alliances with the Chinese at stake.

Such is the way of the world, sadly.

Odd you dodged the issue of US supplied arms the Saudis use.

Didn’t dodge anything. I was talking about the Arab League and how much they actually care about the plight of the Uyghurs and of other Muslims if and when it suits them.

Western arms turn up in the hands of questionable regimes the world over. It’s a disgrace and those overseeing their sale have blood on their hands also.

I'll take that as a no.😉
*sigh

One quick search and you have this for starters and I’ve seen this plenty of other times

You can try to obfuscate and dance around all you want.

If you don’t like what you hear you simply suggest they have no expertise in the subject matter.

Bit underhand tbh. Dunno why you bother.

"Turn up" well that's one way to put it.
It's strange as a society how we look at human rights abuses. We condemn the countries who enact them but the countries who support them economically we tend to ignore.
The Saudis play both sides, they support China and it's treatment of brother Muslims and yet enjoy US and UK support in their treatment of the Yemenis

Wow, it’s almost like you only read the parts of my post that you wanted to and ignored the rest. Not like you at all… 🙄

Just quoted the bit that stood out. Human rights abuses happen all over the world, how they are acted upon very much depends on economic alliances. Guantanamo Bay still has inmates who've been held there for decades without trial, where's the social media outrage?

Still looking for a post where I've called someone a liar. Not agreeing with their point of view isn't the same.🙄 But then you know that.

You’re right.
But this is the China thread, that’s why people are discussing China and not Guantanamo Bay.
