I`ve been through the whole thread and I can`t find one example or reference that is derogatory towards the Chinese people in anyway.

The term " Chinazi " is being used only in relation the CCP, not the Chinese people, as well he knows.

TBF, I doubt there'd be too much take up on that offer. Why would they want to leave Hong Kong for a place where Covid19 is rampant, and why would they want to come here to be abused, spat at and attacked in the street for having Asian features?

At a guess, because it`s preferable to take your chances of getting a disease that you probably won`t catch over being kidnapped, put in " education" camps or even murdered for speaking out against the government ?

The CCP is monolithic and undemocratic. I've stated that a good few times. Apparently that doesn't sink in, or is ignored.

My points are that we cant allow a new cold war sentiment to become ingrained - and social media IS being used to do that (and many are getting paid to influence it with anti-Chinese prejudice); that in Hong Kng the situation is not between the CCP versus young social democrats (as many apologists like to portray it) - it's between the CCP and Localist groups who are from the extreme far right and funded by American foreign policy units; that the fall out is that in Britain and the west in general anti-Chinese terminology ("Chinazi", for example) is at the heart of physical attacks on ethnic Chinese communities.

You know all this though.

My view of the subject is a lot more complex and even handed than you and your cohorts on this thread who scream "Yellow Peril!"
