laughing at your one sided naivety. If you know how to use Google translate, try Weibo.
If you are brave enough, I’ll sponsor your trip to XIn Jiang and try pick a conversation with any local Uighurs on the street and let us know what you encounter.

racism is not right at any level. But you must be sick to think that the level of racism in China is comparable to what’s happening in the west.
You seem to have not read the last line of the post of mine you replied to. It says: 'China's human rights record needs condemning'.

Setting up straw man arguments does you no favours and ends up undermining your viewpoint.

I have read every post of yours in this thread and non of them make a clear distinction of the state wide sponsored racism as it should be.

someone shouting racist remarks on the street or online is the definitely not the same as state sponsored genocide concentration camp and you are trying your disgusting best to see these at the same level.

You're a fool.

Only one man has been a fool in this thread and that is you. You could write what you know about life in China and how the CCP operates at home and abroad on the back of a cigarette packet.

A cautionary tale from 'liberal' Canada about how extreme right wing forces are riding the wave of fear over Covid19 and using anti-Chinese racism to get a foothold in Canadian politics.

It's a sentiment that will be encouraged by Washington, and we need to be vigilant about similar moves here.

Yet again, attempting to deflect from the horrific treatment foreigners are suffering from within China and the genocide of some one million Muslim's. All because your simple mind reads 'communist' and immediately thinks that they must be great.

Deflecting? It's a story of real racism exacted upon immigrant communities who's 'crime' is that they are ethnically Chinese. What is that deflecting from?

I've always stated that the Chinese Government should be condemned where necessary...just like every government that carries out human right's abuses (the UK Government, for example, and their appallingly racist treatment of the Windrush generation...amongst others).

No Dave, you haven't. The previous 16 or so pages of this thread proves that.

And no, the genocide of 1 million people is not the same as the admittedly poor treatment of the Windrush generation. FFS. (I can't believe that I'm having to type that, but there we are)

You said "[they]are killing prisoners in these camps so their organs can be donated to people who are willing to pay for them".

There's a massive difference between executing prisoners because that was their sentence, and killing prisoners to harvest their organs.

I'm not defending the Chinese judicial system by the way, it sounds horrific. I just know that people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, and that we shou;ld all be aware of manipulation from western news agencies who are part of the soft war against the Chinese.
IMO, given the appalling level of physical attacks being carried out on our fellow Chinese Britons, there needs to be some sense of decorum in this thread. I know that attacking China's rulers is legitimate, but it seems like a sport for some, and it must make waves inadvertantly for ordinary ethnic Chinese citizens...of which there WILL be some on this forum.

..........

A huge amount of the chinese students who come to study in the uk each year follow degrees in 'data mining'. I know very little about this subject but it sounds dodgy to me.

The Hong Kong thread is locked, probably just due lack of recent activity, but I notice the Great Bunch Of Lads are up to no good again in Hong Kong

Who is paying you to say this lol

They`re really not doing themselves any favours are they ?

They probably are up to no good, making hay while the sun shines.

Meanwhile, our own "Great Bunch of Lads" passed under your nose the Emergency (Coronavirus) Powers Act:

The term “emergency powers” usually refers to government powers to respond rapidly to a public emergency by:

  • making regulations without an act of parliament
  • Taking actions without complying with statutory duties that it would normally have to comply with
  • Taking actions that it would not normally be allowed to take.
Those powers can be set out in primary legislation or, sometimes, in regulations made by ministers.

Emergency powers allows the government to introduce measures that may affect fundamental rights, such as the right to liberty.

People in glass houses and all that, eh?

Has our government committed genocide?

Has our government committed genocide?
Yes, historically it has.

And, currently, the present government is building on it's predecessor's work by carrying out a policy of deportation of the Windrush Generation.
