Central midfield vs Swansea

i get sick when i see Neville and Osman starting , that has got to be the worse CM pairing in the league . Neville should retire to morrow and Osman only given 20 mins when we are comfortable and winning games .we have some very good players in certain positions and than these 2 plus our RB . its like going out with a top model than you find out she has braces and she is hairy as **** when she undresses .

Hopefully Nev's nightmare performance last night has highlighted the need for another centre midfielder to Moyes. We shouldn't be pissing our limited wages up the wall on someone like Boruc when CM is the priority. Hitzlsperger for me please.

osman is a joke..cost u s one goal last night and almost another..he's lazy and ****s out of challenges..the lad does not get stuck in...cant have a little man in midfield giving away possession all day
neville and himself should be bench warmers

It's sad to see a squad with so much potential being strangled by the axis of failure that is Neville & Osman in midfield, and Hibbert at right back. I could just about tolerate watching them if we had no options.

When we bought Jags from Sheffield he was a quality defensive central midfield player who also used to fill in at centre back - scored some absolute scorchers from 20 plus out. I'd give him a go in CM. Also wouldn't Coleman give us a bit of movement behind Mirralas on the right hand side. With either Tony or PN at right back we will never be as good as we are on the left where all the play always comes from.

Can we stop making Neville the main scapegoat, Osman was also beyond awful.

Neville and Osman are not the answer, whatever the question, honestly, if Moyes doesnt move Fellaini back into midfield he needs sacking.

No he doesn't need sacking he's the best thing that's happened to this club in over 20 years, you're clearly still angry (and have every reason to be) about the way things went, If we beat Swansea and Southampton, with Fellaini further up, he won't need sacking will he?

You tell him lad. Sick of the Goat's constant antimoyes attitude. It's disgusting.

He was all about Owen Coyle a few years ago. Tells you a lot about the valadity of his opinions. Bet he has no clue how little net spend Davie has had.

I heard our left side was described as the best in europe by the scumbag last night. No reference to the central midfield pairing though :-)
It was very clear during the window that we were light in CM. Thats why we tried for Essien, Nzonzi and Ofoe on the last day. I guess we should have tried harder on the second to last day.

How has Gibson, who we signed on the cheap in January this year become the fulcrum of our outfield 10? What did we do before him? Hes not had 20 games, how has this happened?

We were awful first half of last year, Neville and heitinga played there and it was some of the worst football ive seen in moyes' ten years.

Lets play the best defensive midfielder in the league behind the striker lads.

how about the radical idea of seeing if a central midfielder from the reserves like junior can make the step up rather than sticking a defender in there!

Agree with both of these- its as if defenders in midfield is something we've completely been conditioned to accept. Why not midfielders in midfield? Attackers as second striker?

The great thing we've all got to look forward to really is that the manager has found a way to continue playing the same way we did with Cahill up front despite having just sold him. It's very shrewd because it means we don't have to evolve how we play at all, that long diagonal for the knockdown is going to be as effective as ever.

I thought this when I saw moyes' interview about Fellaini being cahill's long term replacement. It works when on the floor but the temptation for long ball is too high. Just play football!

It's sad to see a squad with so much potential being strangled by the axis of failure that is Neville & Osman in midfield, and Hibbert at right back. I could just about tolerate watching them if we had no options.

I said this in 2007/08/09 when we had our ace team and got to the cup final - and they cost us badly that day. To be in this position still is....mad.

Just for a game or two till gibbo gets back, especially away from home...

Please, please, please, let's just stick fellaini back to DM.

........Fellaini Osman........
Mirallas..Naismith..pienaar..

Get Jnr on the bench... And maybe off it onto the pitch if the game goes our way!

Okay I tactically deconstructed the first goal they scored, and it was completely Osman and Neville's and Howard's fault together.

It was the Perfect Storm of Cock-Ups.

Osman takes a slack touch and loses possession. Neville thinks as this is going on that he's in a pretty good position, but is so slow to react to the advancing Cabaye (i think) that he is caught hopelessly out of position. Cabaye slides an easy pass along to Ba, and he hits a tame effort across the goal, and Howard just flounders at it and it's 1-1.

Osman made a boo-boo, but Neville was unforgivable for being sooooo slow.

I'd keep Ossie, because he can slot into anywhere across the pitch attacking, but Nev has to stop playing now please.

Again, pointless debate and conjecture.

Can anyone really see stubborn, dithering Dave dropping Neville? Or Osman? Or not turning to Anichebe?

Missing out on Ofoe could prove very costly to our season. It's the position we all knew we needed cover for. Gibson getting injured has just highlighted the problem.
