Central midfield vs Swansea

I was absolutely disgusted last night that Neville couldn’t even do the simple things right. Easy passes, easy clearances and easy tackles - he struggled with them all. I’d be extremely disappointed if he starts vs Swansea as I truly believe he’s an absolute liability in the middle of the park and the game will just pass him by against a team like Swansea.

I’ve never been a fan of the suggestion of Heitinga in midfield, as I don’t believe he has the discipline to play a holding role / a deep lying midfielder. But I honestly think he can do a better job than what Neville did last night.

I’d also swap Osman with Fellaini as he made a few mistakes that were lucky only to lead to one goal last night.

So who would you have as the main midfield two for Swansea / the next for games?

P.S. Oh, how I can’t wait for the return of Gibbo

its a waste of time to post this up Neville will be in the Everton side somewhere as long as he is at Everton
and so will Osman yes its sad but Moyes won't leave either out of his teams

I hope to god Neville is nowhere near the midfield on Saturday or ever again! It would also be wrong to drop Hibbert just to accomodate Neville at RB. Either Fellaini drops back to his preferred role (could depend on Jelavic being fit) or play Heitinga in there.

My point being, why play him there when we have Fellaini who can play there and can do so better than arguably anyone else in the league.

Jela started straight away. Nais and Mirallas too. Why not Oviedo?

Oviedo plays on the left, no way i'd drop Pienaar or Baines for him. He can play on the right too but we have barely let Mirallas get settled yet so it would be ridiculous to start Oviedo on that side.

He'll have to wait his turn, neither Naismith or Mirallas deserve to be dropped for him to come in.

The great thing we've all got to look forward to really is that the manager has found a way to continue playing the same way we did with Cahill up front despite having just sold him. It's very shrewd because it means we don't have to evolve how we play at all, that long diagonal for the knockdown is going to be as effective as ever.

I feel like crying.

Sickening really. We have a team that can play it on the deck really well ffs! Sure, Fellaini at AM is effective at times and can work but by no means in my mind should it be plan A, especially when the other teams have the aerial power to counter him and double team him. And definitely not if it means a CM pairing of Neville-Osman. I honestly thought those days were behind us but Moyes seems unwilling to change his ways which is sooooo frustrating and has been for a while now.
