All his credentials are impressive yes, but he's never managed on Merseyside and that's a different animal, which was proven on Sunday against Chelsea. We need passion, aggression and fight, all of which is a gamble with any manager who doesn't get that. We simply can't afford another GAMBLE!

It sounds silly but despite his trophies I think the game has changed, you need your manager to be enthusiastic, motivating and passionate now to play with pace and a high tempo to win games,

What are high level discussions? Is that Brands, Moshiri, Kenwright and DBB on the 8th floor of a nice office having a chat about mulling or considering approaching Ancelotti.

Wrong way to look at it, but I would love it lol, if he came to us. Just to stick 2 fingers up to the media and especially talksport and Alan Brazil. I don’t listen much these days.

But the constant digs about Everton knowing their place. Wheeling out big Sam after every defeat. Banging the drum for Moyes to come back, Brazil calling the fans idiots because we don’t want him.

Turned the van on this morning, hear him going on about Ancelloti and Arsenal, Everton always an after thought. Turned over straight away.

He's managed in 4 Champions League finals and consistently managed teams with huge expectations for trophies.

Experience in managing in Merseyside shouldn't be a consideration in who we appoint, it's not that much of a unique quality.

Why Saturday was great and we needed that. And maybe we need it for the rest of the season. But long term it’s getting the balance right. We need to get away from this is the Everton way, dogs of war under Royle. The fight and underdog tag under Moyes.

You need the passion the aggression, players to fight for the shirt, but you also need fast attacking football, on the front foot With intelligent, quality players. You won’t challenge the top 4 with long ball tactics and 30% possession.

And before someone says we haven’t challenged the top 4 in years and we’re miles away.
One word Leicester, this time last year a mid table boring team going nowhere. And look at them now.
