Read the history first and then get the facts in the right time order.......the army was sent in to protect the Catholic community......these events occurred later, after the IRA started to attack the Army for political reasons......

All sides... but let’s be honest... and I’ve told you this before .... I have first hand accounts from an ex serving para who was there that day and was sickened by what happened. He would never go as far as to admit it was pre planned and the troops were pumped up that day but it has been suggested.

Everyone here has sympathy for those who lost their lives by the hands of either side.

The problem here is you seem to want to bring up a new topic in a thread about justice for those innocent lives lost at the hands of the British military

You are being insensitive with this whole murder is murder and we should all go hunt the IRA lads and put them in a court of their peers.

Then you insinuate that some of us are IRA sympathizers because we are telling you to pipe down. The fact is you are being a fool yet again.

Why not start a new thread for discussion and see how long that lasts.

None of us love or agree with what the IRA did.

A lot of us in here especially of those from the north have been affected directly or indirectly by the troubles. We all know people caught up in something.

To suggest any of us are IRA sympathizers or putting you down because we dont agree there should be justice is stupid quite frankly.

The point is your timing and the place you decided to bring up the "what about the other side" routine.

Am I the only one scratching my head here wondering what the IRA has to do with gunning down children on a civil rights march.

I can’t think of any two things that could be a polar opposite.

Does the fact that the IRA existed, legitimize the shooting of innocent children on a civil rights march.

All I can say, it’s that type of generalized, preconceived and stereotypical attitude that caused this atrocity in the first place.

As i said earlier it’s sad to see it still alive and well.
