Calm down lads. Let's try and look at the positives:
- Baines and Richarlison played well together
- Schneiderlin looks less and less of a fraud
- Stek and Williams made it very clear to Marco Silva that they should never ever play a game for us again

Honestly, with Digne, a CB and a good CM we will be just fine.

I am hoping that the friendlies up to now have been for the benefit of the management team and all about them finding out what we have. Now it is time to rid ourselves of the dross and put our best foot forward over the next two games and try and ready ourselves for the start of the season.
I had hoped we could ship a few on before we brought a few in but tonight has shown we need some quality no matter what rubbish we have cluttering up the wage bill.

Well never be.remotely close to being good again until we get rid of the absolute cowards who have had it easy over the past 5 years ie Baines jags WilliamsMorgan. People like Pennington who clearly not good enough so why waste fitness minutes playing him he should be at bury or something. Niasse isn't a footballer that Robinson isn't good enough.

It's all good saying it's only pre season but why are we wasting it playing jarg players like that Silva should be assessing them in training and should have been watching he last season knowing most of them need binning

We need 2 cbs a left back and at least 1cm if we want to be near the top 7 again because we're nowhere with some of them playing

We know it's only pre-season but alarm bells rang loudly tonight. Even playing badly we should expect to beat a team like Blackburn. No disguising the fact that the midfield offer no support for the attack and little support for an already feeble defence. It is a worry.

I genuinely don't hear the alarm bells. It's definately not something to make me relax, but with all the reorganization going on in the team and with all these players trying to promote themselves I would consider it okeish if we were able to produce more than a midtable performance until Christmas. This looks very, very much like a longterm project and we're only starting to scrape stuff together.

I do actually believe we will l play some nice football, but not in the first few months. Going from Koeman to Allardyce to Silva...that's quite something to ask the players to transition to.IMO :)

Another positive.
Silva and Brands now know that new players are required as the majority of current batch can’t play for toffee.

And they still have two weeks to do it.

As much as I hate to use buzz phrases I think there's one we are poor at and have been for years and that is transition, we're far too slow and laborious at changing defence into attack. Needs to be addressed and I'm sure Silva will target players who are capable of doing this, hopefully.....

Agreed. Only the keeper and Coleman are up to it. Holgate has time to develop I suppose. But yes, 2 new centre back please. Out with the old.

There is no reason to panic unless you enjoy panicking as some obviously do on here. The team against Valencia should include the expected first choice team to face Wolves. A lot of the dross are saying goodbye hopefully soon.
