2024/25 Beto

I think it's clear goalkeepers have begun to do some homework on him.
As if you wouldn't look at some tape after his recent barnstorming run.

A quick glance at his finishes at Udinese and Everton, and you can see he generally opens up his body and slides the finish to the goalkeepers left, or alternatively tries to round the keeper completely.

It's also clear he isn't much of an aerial threat, with his only contested "headed" goal at Udinese coming from a mistimed header that bounced off his shoulder. His aerial prowess is still a work in progress, and seems primarily timing related.

It's his move now, as I don't think he's ever been subjected to that level of homework/scrutiny before. If he can develop a counter, finishing wise, to the premier league goalkeeper's and their adjustments, then he will have
unlocked a potential future of sustainable, long term success.

Tell you what ? out of morbid interest I watched some of the Utd v Fulham game and realised just how grateful I am that we have Beto upfront.
They have spent 100 million on Zirkzee and Hojlund and neither could hit a cows backside with a banjo.
Beto may be tough round the edges but his physicality causes problems and he scores and creates chances.
If we hadn't have given away free kicks around the box, utd would never have scored from open play.
They are dreadful. Maupay type dreadful.

Hojlund is weird, he’s somehow managed to regress massively from last season when he actually looked fairly threatening. Zirkzee is basically a midfielder that’s ended up playing up front by accident similar to Joelinton.

Hojlund would do well to get out of that circus as quick as possible in order to save his career. Must be toxic behind the scenes there.

Agree. Take Fernandes out of that side and they are relegation material.

WHY WOULD YOU SAY THIS???!!

We have had some werid injuries havnt we

wright and his loft
Wright and the “ do not train when sign is here” sign
Hibbert picked up that weird bug
Bolasie doing his MCL and the physio and him both thinking he’s ok AFTER inspecting the wrong knee
Didn’t we have two player collide and injury eachother too?
Dunc only player to go to jail for an onfeild offence

If we carry on creating the chances we are he will hit at least 10 imo … which would have sounded insane 8 weeks ago
That Danny Welbeck goal yesterday is the sign of a great finisher - Beto will always have one on ones with his sheer pace & handwork rate - never a back to goal player - DM has realised Beto's strengths the ball over the top - plus he rattles defences - he has to work on goals like Welbecks goal yesterday it was sublime -

Maybe Keepers are working him out - he has to think things through as he did everything correct on his one on ones control etc maybe the keeper just got lucky ?

I was confident he would have scored at least two after his past form ... I could not fault his performance or his workrate ....

That last one`s not quite a weird injury.
