I expect she'll be prosecuted and her child will be removed from her.Fair enough what they're saying but if we let them back in the country they aren't going to be punished for what they did. Therefore I think its better if we don't let them in at all.
In the ITV link, and the tweet, there is reference to her having dual Bangladeshi/British citizenship. If that IS the case, then one can see where the UK Gov thinking lies...
I think the answer to this is yes, I fail to see how she would not qualify. If her parents were living here permanently when she was born then she has citizenship. That does make sense to be fair and gives the government something of a way out and a potential answer . does she have citizenship or is she simply eligible for it given she was born in the U.K. to immigrant parents I suppose would be the question ? If it’s the former then I suppose the government might have a little more difficulty making the argument.
Personally if it’s legal I think it’s a reasonable course of action . I’d be conflicted for a couple of reasons in that were dumping our problems on Bangladesh which feels a little cheap and also because if there are charges she could face she’s not being punished not to mention I’d like her to be spoken to to see if she can assist us in the fight against Daesh .
I think despite my anger at politicians for not tackling the problem earlier I do have a degree of sympathy for those making the decision because I’m not sure there’s a correct course of action for them to take there certainly isn’t one they won’t be criticised for .

Equally, her child will be entitled to UK citizenship as well. If you’re not recognised as a citizen of any country, you’re entitled to British citizenship if a parent is a British citizen
She wouldn't have to apply it's an automatic right. No but has she applied for it ? Because If she hasn’t then this will be a first is the point I was making . I know Cameron mused that this was something they’d considered but it came to nothing , presumably because of the legal pitfalls . I think dispassionately it’s an interesting watch to see how it plays out .

Oh I see. My phone needs charging, I'll pay back surely. It dont know if that make you Bangladeshi though , I’m pretty sure you aren’t considered a dual national if you applied for a job you’d be perfectly entitled to consider yourself solely British although I totally accept the point you’re msking . In fairness I also don’t know enough about Bangladeshi law , I know some counties don’t allow dual nationality for example or what Bangladesh require to qualify .
it looks like if the parents were Bangladeshi citizens at the time of her birth or working for them in certain cases , she is also one a well , they use a phase,(don't ask me to spell it ) to describe it in English it translates as of one blood. It dont know if that make you Bangladeshi though , I’m pretty sure you aren’t considered a dual national if you applied for a job you’d be perfectly entitled to consider yourself solely British although I totally accept the point you’re msking .
