'It was like a normal life. The life that they show on the propaganda videos - it's a normal life.'

then goes onto to describe 'not being fazed' by seeing a severed head in a bin.

i know she was only 15 when she left, but it's a no from me.

A normal life? What propaganda has ever made isis life seemed normal?

I'm not British so I don't think I really have a right to say what one should think or do because it is your country. However, if she was an American my offer to her would be you can spend a long time if not the rest of your life in a mental institution and the state will look for a home for your baby upon birth. And that baby will not go to any family members because they clearly didnt do the job with the first chance of raising a child. That's it.

Except it would 'clense' anything, it would only harden their stance

Exactly. Unfortunately this is the vicious cycle of dealing with extremists. When they are forced to deal with the consequences of their actions they fall into a confirmation bias.

That (prison) is the common link between most of the scum who carried out the attacks in France and Belgium.

It's a problem all over. You get people who committed the same crimes, have the same desires and goals. Prison turns into networking. They're surrounded by like minded people so it turns into them all saying and working towards the same garbage to each other. They arent surrounded by well grounded by people and ever have the moment where they think, why is what I'm doing contrary to everyone else? Instead they all have the same goals and "enemies" and confirms their misconstrued logic and emboldens it.

Read the article she says she feels the caliphate is becoming smaller and smaller and has no chance of succeeding.

She shows no signs of that she doesn't believe in it or realized her wrong doings. I stand by my opinion of you offer her life in jail, not that you guys really do that. I'm pretty ignorant of UK sentencing honestly, or she gets institutionalized in some form and the state secures a good life for her kid.

Her saying that it won't succeed now is just a nail in the coffin as far as her character goes. If ISIS was able to secure that area and rule and look forward towards the west and east she'd stay?

She's an unintelligent person and generally irredeemable. I see no point in offering her anything other than giving her unborn child a better chance.

I mean the fact that the medieval logic of ISIS won't be sustainable is dawning on her and that's the only reason she'll leave is damning enough.

I know all of you have had stuff touch you like this but I'm from NY I was 11 for 9/11. I remember it like yesterday, I try to be forgiving but her comments show she is ubforgiveable.

The whole issue with that region is hard to deal with. You give them an inch and they take a mile and stab you in the back while you do. You devastate the area with unfortunate attacks and the war they brought on themselves creates 20 more extremists.

I really don't know the solution. Hope it doesn't seem like I'm vilifying muslims because I know many who are great.

It makes me wish we all could just embrace isolationist policies but that is never the answer in this age. It only creates more extremists. No one knows the answer, if they did they'd rule the world.

It's really a sad state of affairs, but it has always been this way. Apologies for rambling

...an understandable uproar concerning the availability of legal aid. It is a key ingredient of the Rule of Law in that it allows everybody access to legal representation and a fair trial. It might be unsavoury that those accused of murderer and rape get legal aid, but it’s right.

According to her family's lawyer we all failed her, as she was groomed by IS.

Myself, and a few others on here, predicted this would happen.

It now appears that the police, social services, and MI5, all failed to 'protect'.

Not only will she get back into the country, but will probably end up getting a massive compo claim.

;)

They revolting fraudster who's taken on the case said that interviewing them after others in their friendship group join the bloodthirsty terrorists just let them know they were being monitored.l, so precipitating their departure for the calipate.

Firstly surely theyd have had an idea police interest might be stepped up anyway.

And secondly it doesn't make sense, if you thought you were being monitored you WOULDN'T leave.

Some people just cant take responsibility for their actions.

Someone who wants to be taken seriously as a brave defender of Western Civilisation and British Values from the savage hordes, who dares to speak truth to power, should probably not be seen struggling to grasp the basic premise of the Right to Counsel, which I believe has been enshrined in British law since 1836, and in custom for hundreds of years before that...

Hey wasnt questioning the concept.

If I was part of the little terrorist's family I'd probably want a more sympathetic figure representing me but the little terrorist can do what she wants. As she usually does.

I'll mention that , before she slits my throat.

I'm sure it will be a real comfort to her.
