I’m conflicted on this but only in terms of the failure of our government to deal with this and what they should have done . I can’t help but think legislation should have been considered to combat this problem dealing with the evidentiary issues of those that travelled and supported the state but we have no evidence actually participated in war crimes . By that I mean by joining the caliphate should you be forced or considered to have surrendered your British citizenship , I know many countries don’t allow dual citizenship . Perhaps legislation should have been considered that those travelling had committed a criminal offence and that offence put before Parliament. Although I’ve no idea how to do that or how it’d be written. . I think the failure to do that is why we find ourselves here .

The fact she left as a child would probably be more compelling if she had seemed to leave behind the rhetoric but she hasn’t . Also plenty of children are arrested and prosecuted and have come from terrible positions , if you look at county lines or grooming incidents if somebody has lived through that to adulthood they aren’t excused all criminal responsibility once they reach 19 despite the difficulties they’ve been through .

At the minute though given where we are I don’t know what the answer is as it doesn’t seem we can do anything as she is a British citizen . I do know if she does return home to the U.K. , where worryingly many other have under less fanfare , I’d imagine social services would be involved following the birth of her child as she’s clearly incredibly unsuitable as a mother and the child’s welfare has to be considered.

Bring her back.

Then throw her into prison for 15 years.

That'll cleanse the dumb girl of any ISIS-sympathies she ever had.

Other than that, f her. Would be outrageous if she's welcomed back into this country.

If she hasn't broken any laws they will let her in, emotionally i dont think thats right, but as it stands cant see how they can stop her, Should change the law.
Bit two faced of her really goes off to war against the west and rants against its way of life, then when it suits wants to use those values to benefit herself, maybe they could let her in and do her for hate crimes for the videos she has been in?
She sounds like she has been brainwashed has no seeming remorse for what she has witnessed .

I think that’s a massive problem that the legislation doesn’t seem to exist and as far as I can see that’s on the government.

And when your prisons become a recruitment center for radicalisation

That (prison) is the common link between most of the scum who carried out the attacks in France and Belgium.

I don’t think there is any doubt prisons are a massive issue when it comes to radicalisation but i’d Think surely that’s an incentive to tackle that issue rather than remove prison from the list of possible options to deal with radical Muslims ?

Im not suggesting it should be the only option by the way but we can’t dismiss it because we have a radicalisation problem .

Absolutely, but we shouldn’t just say “lock ‘em up” without acknowledging that locking them up created many of them in the first place.

You won’t get an argument from me on that . Im
Also though uncomfortable as a country or rather government that we appeared to have failed to consider this as an issue . The creation of Guantanamo bay should have alerted us to the issues , detainment without trial isn’t on but when there is no legislation that’s what happens .

Agreed mate but idea that being punitive solves anything at all is a nonsense, it's a false and easy way of pretending to be tough on the issue, when the real solution relies on creating an inclusive society and having less war criminals dictate foreign policy
