Shouldn't be allowed back. Should have been stripped of citizenship immediately upon confirmed as gone as they effectively declared war on us as a nation state.

Should be forced to live with the consequences of their decisions.

Irrelevant of her age, she and the others took active and calculated steps to join a murderous, medieval, barbaric terrorist organisation.

The fact that it wasn`t what she believed it to be when she got there is neither here nor there.

Undoubtedly she will now have knowledge that could be of benefit in the fight against ISIS.

The only way she should be allowed back into the UK is if she is able to provide tangible evidence that can save the lives of others / assist in bringing ISIS down.

Agreed mate but idea that being punitive solves anything at all is a nonsense, it's a false and easy way of pretending to be tough on the issue, when the real solution relies on creating an inclusive society and having less war criminals dictate foreign policy

Again I don’t disagree that punitive without any other consideration isn’t an answer and I often champion other ideas and solutions but again it doesn’t mean that sometimes people’s actions don’t deserve punishment.

I said in my post I don’t know what the answer is , I’m uncomfortable with a lot of the rhetoric but to see people who’ve fought for YPG charged seems bizarre whilst those that have thrown or supported beheadings or the throwing of gay men from roofs are perhaps free to return .

What if she can pass on her experience and help prevent others from going and doing what she did?

The problem with this particular case is that she has said that she has no regrets about going over in the first place.

Don't think she's a suitable example to be preventing others from doing the same when she stands by her own decision to do so.

I think with her having the unborn child it makes it a trickier situation but it's one where "she's made her bed".

You take the decision to leave the country for the reasons she did, you can't expect to then just come back and reap the benefits of what the UK has to offer.

Will be interesting to hear what happens with it.

While admitting I don't know the circumstances whereby she lost her first and second children, she's saying she's got concerns about the welfare of her unborn child as the reason she wants to return.
So I would like her to explain why this third child is more important than the first.
My own take is she just wants the home comforts of Blighty now the going has got tougher.

I think that’s a massive problem that the legislation doesn’t seem to exist and as far as I can see that’s on the government.
think there is something going through the Lords at the moment that would stop anybody leaving to join a known terrorist organisation will become a criminal offence, not sure were they are up to with it, so might be a case of bolting the stable door after the horse has already bolted.

I think we can see that’s it’s well too late mate , you could see this problem post Afghanistan and that’s a long time ago .

theyve said shell be under scrutiny from the home office etc, i think its a good thing if she can come back and be unradicalised.

essentially alot of these people who go are misguided the more cases like this you may see less going there in the first place.
Did you listen to the recording of her interview this morning? Showed no signs of regret for what she did and basically said the reason she wanted to return to Britain is that her third child which is due shortly (her two first children both died in Syria) would "be cared for medically at least".

If we allowed her to come back in, the chances are her unborn child would be brought up radicalised and who knows, she could spend her time radicalising other young girls. She obviously still believes in the cause.
