Best ever game of football not involving Everton?

01/02 that was. One that sticks out for me was the City/QPR game when City won the title, I had it on on mute as I was listening to our game with the Geordies and was expecting City to blow it in the end as they were 2-1 down in a game Rangers also had to win to stay up so to have that ending, and see the looks on the United team, fans and Whiskey Nose's faces at Sunderland when the result at the Etihad came through was so satisfying, even if it did turn City fans into bigger bellends after it
AguerOOOOOOOOOOO

Liverpool 3 Crystal Palace 3.
Good, ( actually it was Crystal Palace 3 Liverpool 3 but only a complete pedant would point that out..) but not the best. I've always preferred;
FA Cup Semi Final, April 8 1990, Villa Park
Crystal Palace 4 Liverpool 3.

Best non Palace game where I was there;
Euro 96 England 2 Scotland 0.
Also enjoyed Everton 7 Sunderland 0 a few seasons ago.

...loved the 1970 World Cup, so it has to be;

West Germany 3 Italy 4, 1970 World Cup semi-Final, Azteca Stadium, Mexico City.
Mental 30 minutes of extra time. I made the mistake of casually mentioning this game to the Italian fella that ran our chippy only a few years ago He was utterly enraged and I swear that if Karl Schnellinger (whose equaliser took the game to ET) had walked in Alfredo the chippy owner would have thrown him in the deep fat fryer.

..yes, Schnellinger was an outstanding defender and unexpected scorer. Ironically, i think he played for AC Milan at the time.

I’d forgotten about this one. Another classic in the compendium of karma slaps the kopite beauts have received down the years. Doesn’t feature Suarez crying though.

That, imo, was a really drab match with one of the best endings I've ever seen.

It's a pity they blew their chance in the final (not the replay they never turned up )

Defo RS Arsenal 89.

Holland winning Euro 88 was I think the best international side I've seen - although they perhaps they lacked an opponent to create legendary matches, as I recall they disposed of Russia in the final fairly easily but it did have that classic Van Basten goal.
