Berbatov

Yeah, because Everton are flooded with twenty goals a season strikers.

It won't happen, but if anyone seriously wouldn't want a player like Berbatov at Everton, when our striking options are limited to Beckford, Anichebe and Saha, with the prospect of "star" signings like Jay Bothroyd to come... well, I despair for the sanity of some on this forum.

Nice YouTube clip by the way. I could post each one of his 68 league goals over the last five years but I'm sure you'd counter that with a picture of a bunny rabbit or something!

I thought barmpot, summed it up quite nicely, but clearly you ave put more thought into your rebuttal

Loving the Nani/Berbatov misses video here, they could try do one for Anichabe but he doesn't even get into position to have a chance ffs!

Totally not gonna happen, but if you wouldn't want him here there's something badly wrong...

I'd like him here, but just for the sake of popularizing the Everton name in Bulgaria, really.
Since he joined Utd he's been lazy (lazier actually) and just... seems unmotivated. He does get the odd scissor kick goal or just that moment of magic, but...

In a more realistic matter - he'd be amazing for us, but not in a 4-5-1 formation. At least not with him on the top of our attack. He's not an out-and-out "Number 9". Him and Beckford could do some epic stuff, as one could tear down defenses and run at them, while the other can play either with or behind him as a second striker, and distribute the ball better, as Berbatov is capable of that.

SIGN HIM UP DAVEY!

68 goals in 5 years = average 13.6 goals a season.

So he's not a "twenty goals a season striker"

He's a striker capable of scoring twenty a season, he's a good finisher, with good movement and very creative. We don't have a striker in the same bracket as Berbatov, and he's 4th choice at United. Not that it matters because we have no chance of signing him, we might as well be discussing Messi.

Yeah you're right. He's far far far lazier than Anichebe or Yakubu

He smokes doesn't he?

Him and Tony could light up before the game, evoking wonderful memories of yester-year.

Berbs is a superb player. Best technique and touch to rival the best in the world imo...its that good

Jesus Christ. Does Damon seriously think Berbatov isn't good enough?

He was the top scorer this year ffs, despite spending the last half of the season mostly on the frigging bench.

I'd take anything he says with a pinch of salt, i'm sure we'll here the opposite said about a fearsome attack of Bothroyd and Beckford next season......*sigh*

Indeed, but motivation is lacking most of the times. When he wants to play - he can outplay almost anyone out there, but the problem is he doesn't really show it that much, bar this season (shown in the goals he has scored).
