Don't think you can play Gueye without playing one of the other two.
You need a player who can sit in your midfield, neither Gueye nor Davies can do it as has been shown on the few times they've been picked together as a midfield pair as they both want to go and win the ball, rather than holding their position.
Nobody liked Barry (well, I did, but I didn't see much support for him on here), but he was the one midfielder we had who could hold his position and pass the ball forward intelligently as well.
Last season when we had Lukaku, it didn't mater as much because we didn't need to build through midfield a lot of the time. Now, without that focal point in attack, there is more emphasis on having to play through midfield to start attacks and we don't have the players to do it. It's one of the things that's being missed in the squad - along with having no striker, one almost 33 year old left back, the lack of a credible centre back, little width or pace, no obvious replacement for Coleman and a chronic lack of confidence - should be easy enough to fix
