sigh
I said similar, the author of the article (a Blue!!!!) was rather upset at me for feeling perturbed by it.He already looks sad. Oh well we have him for a couple of months.
Have to say that a big factor in Beni’s performance last night was Unsworth , who did the very simple thing of allowing him to play in his best position alongside two other midfielders who knew that their jobs were slightly different. Unsy’s being doing something similar with Beni at U23s , he’s been the holding mid , always playing the most defensive role while others like Denis Adeniran playing alongside him are more attack minded. Beni rarely shows any real attacking intent , say compared to Tom Davies, which makes him a different type of player. Unsy plays to his strengths, lets him do his job and this allows others to play further forward. He’s still developing and shouldn’t and won’t play every game but he’d be ideal for those times when we want to throw off the shackles and just play with one deep lying mid surrounded by hard pressing attack minded other mids. Why did koeman spend all that money on midfielders when there are players of that quality in U23 side.?
And bring back the lad from Anderlecht.
He may not be creative but he holds and uses the ball well. Very important qualities if we want to win the midfield because there's no point in winning the ball if we just hoof it back.Have to say that a big factor in Beni’s performance last night was Unsworth , who did the very simple thing of allowing him to play in his best position alongside two other midfielders who knew that their jobs were slightly different.
