Is it that Bob has actually lost the senior players or was Baines speaking out of a mountain of frustration? I realize the both are inextricably intertwined but is it a chicken or egg kind of thing? Does it matter?

For words like that to fall out of Baines' mouth... An impeccable servant of Everton and one of the most respected (and quiet) players at the club. Then for Bob to come out and paste it over in such a ham-handed way. Just accept what Baines has to say, address it and move on. You'll get nowhere appearing to strongarm a diamond like Baines.

As for proper debate: I have tried that with davek - he just ignores replies and keeps preaching on behalf of Martinez. Zatara keeps saying Martinez is meeting his expectations, despite identifying his expectations as 8th place. Old Blue keeps insisting that Baines didn't say anything about chemistry, but the player has been directly quoted doing so. You keep insisting that wanting Martinez out is the same as wanting to lose the FA cup. This is the type of irrational cobblers that you expect people to engage with rationally? Do me a favour.

It's been a rubbish two seasons with the best squad we've had in my 27 years on earth. That's the frustration. How many fake turning points and chances can he get before enough's enough? It's stupid things that people in the stands can see but his stubbornness to leave things as is for too long costs us point.

Why wait for the cup run to be over? We have been absolutely dreadful the last two games, we need to find some form going into the semi or we will be getting nothing out of this season. I really hope he turns it around because he's a nice bloke and he seems to get the club but his stubbornness and the bizarre noises coming out of the club make me think he's too far gone

I agree. The players have had a look of a group of players who want him out. I cant see this really turning around, and as much as I think the players would try for everything in the semi as they want to win the cup, that becomes much harder if we lose the next 4 games going into it. You cant just turn your form back on when it suits. The players are good enough on their day to beat any of the other semi finalists, but currently I cant see us beating any of them. Even if we sacked the manager and put in someone like Ferguson, Unsworth, Sheedy etc as a caretaker until the summer, I cant see them doing any worse than we currently are, because we have good players, who are currently being played about by an awful manager none of them want to play for.

Mourinho showed this season how even the top managers can upset a group of players so much they down tools for him.

What Morhinio does is genius. He delfects blame onto himself over the players. So when a decision goes wrong, the players don't get the flak, he does for something or other.

Obviously this season is the proof that it doesn't answer everything and when you keep having to do it, kinda causes you an issue. But if chelsea were second, and costa gets sent off, he is the type of manager who would say something afterwards to divert the headlines.

It doesn't help the forum to have members slinging allegations like that, and it certainly doesn't help when you tag (bait?) members like so;

Indeed it is, as my post clearly states. Will you be joining the WUM club with @davek , @Zatara and @Roberto's Dream ? Or do you accept that it's feasible for people to want to win the cup but still want Martinez out - i.e. what the bulk of Evertonians want?

Both really mate. Not a big thing but we try to discourage posters from characterising or labelling other posters as it inevitably ends up in confrontation.

Generally we don't like the accusation of winding up against other blues neither.
