He's 27, and has been playing football a similar amount of time to players like Pienaar and Arteta. Do people really believe Moyes would have paid 11.25 million for a player who's alot older than he claims?

Moyes said that at the time when he was accused of being racist for commenting on Yakubu's 'Nigerian age'. He doesn't even look that old.

I know this has gone 'round & 'round, but surely you're at least open to the POSSIBILITY that he's older, right? I mean, there are just too many signs & questions marks to be 100% confident. It's fairly illogical to pretend to be proof positive certain he's 27.

The best lineup I can think is one which has Cahill on the bench against a bit weaker teams and we play yak and saha upfront to have the clinical touch infront of goal. Then bring Beckford on so he can use his pace

Indeed he is the saviour. It pisses me off when people want him out cos all they got to want him out is one season where he didn't deliver,one bad missed tap in at the wc and they want him out? Get a grip!

We saw the real yak two years ago and will only see him again if he is shown some confidence, given a tap on the back and reassured what we expect from him and what his capabilities are. He was looking sharp at the end of last season, I remember his cute little flick before he set up Cahill at ewood park. That's more like it.

I'll be gutted if he's shown the door. Beckford would be better if he comes of the bench and uses his pace on tired legs
