Current Affairs Australian Bush Fires

Yeah, but why do you believe it? Is it because overwhelming scientific consensus agrees that's what the data tells us,or is it something else?

Why do I believe we are not causing global warming? The graph in my previous reply explains that really. The data tells us that this is the hottest year since 1850, with the temperature rising by 1.2 degrees. The data also tells us, if you go further back, that this is nowhere near the hottest year. The MSM do not mention that.because it completely blows the narrative out of the water. It's scaremongering.

I am not anti science. I just don't take what the likes of the BBC push at us.

The bush fires have been made worse, because of the policy of the firebreaks.

Please do some research if you are going to keep saying that. If you are allergic to MSM, I suggest you go straight to the source and stop just outright telling porkies.

Your link to environment.gov.au is basically listing the areas you would need permission to create a fire break - In many of those cases, permission was not granted.

Your other link is pointing to where you can acquire a permit. I'm not really sure how that is relevant?

Here's my point - Those fires in Australia were not caused by man made global warming. I believe they have been made worse by government policies. I also believe that arson has also contributed. That's it.

Unfortunately it would appear you are incapable of holding a debate without resorting to silly childish remarks regarding my thoughts on the subject.. So let's leave it there mate. You win. You're the best!!!!

If you just want to throw around wild conspiracy theories don't throw your toys out of the pram when you get called out.

Aah - The conspiracy theory argument haha. It was only a matter of time. Make sure you throw the "I suppose you think the earth is flat" jibe in there too.

The Australian Government website you linked stated that in order to create firebreaks in many locations, you needed their permission to do so. I am going to go out on a limb here, and say that permission wasn't granted in many instances. This has contributed greatly to the spreading of the fires.

So - No you haven't called me out. You have your opinion that permission to create fire breaks was granted. I think permission wasn't granted.in areas that it should have been. We will have to agree to disagree.

My point is that Global Warming is not caused by us. It is a natural cycle. The fires in Australia were not helped by government polices, and that a lot of the fires were caused by people, either deliberately or by accident. It is that simple. You cannot not disprove that. You can only disagree with me. It's allowed.

Anyway - I'm out. Enjoy your day.

I know we have had firefighters from US, NZ and Canada, and a lot of overseas celebrities donating, not really sure beyond that

This is what I raised the other week, the PM should have been begging for the firefighting planes from the Northern hemisphere countries....

I totally agree it could have been managed better, but in a way the scale of it caught everyone by surprise.

We don't get bushfires of this scale this early in the season, and not in so many areas at once. The US also had fires burning in November which used a lot of northern hemisphere resources.

Yes, he should have begged and screamed for as much help as he could get, but I don't think it as simple as placing a call and getting 50 choppers the next day.

Ahh, the "I think" argument without doing any actual research.
The "I choose to believe this bit of science but not that bit of science" argument.

Those are the reasons your "points" aren't getting taken seriously

Why is Ice Age not an answer? View attachment 76465

Why "Ice Age" is not the answer lies in the simple fact of time-scale. Your graph shows temperature changes on the order of 100,000s of years. Consider what the time scale is of the graphs below. Do you notice anything about the change in a given variable relative to the time-scale involved?
