Cringe.
Apparently due to a Green Initiative, residents have been banned from creating "Fire Breaks", in the off season. This was outlawed a few years ago, with the threat of $100,000 fine to anyone that created one. The result of this is that the fires are much harder to control, as there is nothing to stop them spreading.
I have also seen the news that there have been almost 200 arrests for arson, and that over 85% of the fires are caused by man, either deliberately or accidently. Why wouldn't this be true? This is the cause of most fires anyway.
The news coverage has been pretty much what you would expect - The Global Warning narrative. It is the usual scaremongering. Not one prediction has proved to be correct.
No one is doubting the fires in Australia are out of control, and are devastating. What is in doubt is the cause. It is not, in my opinion, global warming.

Really? The BBC? Is that the depth of your investigation and proof? The MSM narrative has always been the same - Global Warming, We're all going to die if we don't do something blah blah blah. Green Tax is what the aim is here.
Have any of the scaremongering predictions actually happened? Are the coastal towns under water? Has there been a worldwide famine, causing billions to die? Did we all have to start wearing gas masks in 1985 because of pollution? Has the weather actually changed since you were a kid? That's a "no" four times from me.
We have the technology to work out a lot of things. For instance, we can go through the fossil records to see when the dinosaurs disappeared. We can examine the ice at the Antarctic, to see what the climate was like from thousands to millions of years ago. Funny how the "since records began" with regards to the weather only goes back a couple of hundred years. Or maybe going back a few thousand years wouldn't suit the argument of global warming. And seriously - how can we use a couple of hundred years worth of data, to make such claims for a planet that is 4.3 billion years old?
Here's something you can test - Type into google search:-
"UK is warming twice as fast as"
and then change the word "UK" for basically any country in the world, or even any natural form (mountains, lakes etc). Weird how almost every where is warming twice as fast as every where else.
I agree we should be looking to reduce our carbon footprint, but we're not causing the planet to heat up. And global warming didn't cause those Australian Bushfires.

To be fair the lad’s got a point. I should have done a full and ROBUST investigation when disputing his point instead of lazily linking a BBC article. His retort to tell me to Google phrases puts him 1-0 up.
Still plenty to play for though!
I also get an extra point for you thinking the BBC is a reliable news outlet. So it's 2-0.
Out of curiosity - Did you do the google search? Did you get those results?
My point is that there is a narrative being spun by the MSM. It reports only what it wants you to hear. Google is part of this narrative. There are other examples I can give you, that have nothing to do with global warming.

No. 95% of scientists whose opinions you are hearing, concerning global warming, are correct. We are just not hearing about the scientists that have a different opinion.
