Gutted.

Just too nice, no bite.

When Arteta went down teams with winning mentality play on and take advantage. No way would Gerrard or Lucas have put that ball out.

Roberto needs his own players - and unfortunately needs to lose some of the current favourites as they accept 'nearly' scenarios. It's a sad fact.

Season over and no doubt it will be the exact same next season as well. Well annoyed and gutted with that result!!! Had a great chance of winning it this year

Pienaar and Osman should be subs now, Stones should start more games so he can ready for next season. Mirallas needs to played on the left now instead of pienaar. McGeady in place of Osman. Plus a new striker next season.

Pienaar stays in until we buy a replacement for me. Our style needs a link player and although he is in poor form he lost much less possession than Kev who doesnt have the brain to link midfield and attack.

Same old story....chances to go in front and didn't take them and teams with top class finishers will punish us again and again. It is time for Pienaar to be dropped....no pace whatsoever anymore and I can't remember the last time he actually took someone on and went past them. Just slows attacks down these days.
We also need a new centre back as cover for Jags. Stones may have potential but time and time again he is a yard away from a striker or out of position and we get punished each time.

We said this last year and we managed it.

I think we'll be better next year than this just cos Martinez will have had more time with these players.

Tubey is completely right.

For whatever reason (Kenwright) we didn't take the chance we had in January to reinforce the squad. It happened last year with Negredo (had the chance to sign him but we didn't up our offer and now he's at City being prolific, as you do). It has obviously happened this year again. We were in the exact same position come the start of January last year as we were this year: definite top four finishers if we kept up our form.

However, we couldn't keep up our form last year because we didn't have the numbers, or the striker that we needed.

Guess what? We couldn't keep our form up this year because we don't have the numbers or the striker that we needed.

Every January the top four is right there for the taking, but every January something (Kenwright) stops us from buying the players that we need to achieve our goal.
