Think we over-achieved in the first half of this season and since anfield our form has levelled out drastically to compensate - injuries?? transfer window?? who knows, but a very familiar taste to todays events.....

I honestly don't know why I get my hopes up. It was always going to be tough to get a result there but that was tough to watch. It's frightening how far behind the top 4 we actually are.

2 major moments in January have ruined our season:
1 - I don't think we've ever recovered from the Anfield mauling
2 - Not splashing the cash in January was criminal

Anyway, there's always next year...No I don't believe it myself :-(

Deulofeu is a joke. Like a 12 year old in the playground. I dont see any need for us to develop other teams youngsters. Our own are enough of a liability.
He has come back from 2months out. Guarentee you didn't say anything about Ross Barkley when he came back?

RM left the subs too late. We needed them at 50th min.

We were right in that till their 3rd.

Absolutely devastated. Every mistake we made was costly, McCarhty slipping for the first goal, Barkley misssing his chance, not playing on when their players were down and Barry making a silly challenge.

We're playing against a CL, title league winning quality team. It was a tight game up to 80mins. We lack that quality they and others can buy, gutted but not too down hearted.

Think pienaar needs a run on the bench, with Miralass left McGeady given a few games on the right.

And?

Its going to happen when we are an attacking outfit and have to chase a defeat.

Its pointless to make a dig at Martinez for that.

It's a fact sorry, not a dig. I'm a fan of Martinez for playing Barkley and Robles but youngsters of varying ability who need this experience.

Getting 4 put past him is a feeling I would hope he doesn't ever want to feel again.

You said this is what happens when you try and play football against a side that knows the system inside out yet we went there a few months ago with the same game plan and were there equal
erm... we tried to play the same way, wenger isn't stupid and he completely nullified us. very, very naive to think that arsenal would not have learnt from that game.

stones lack of experience showed, Barkley miss cost, del boys losing the ball cost 3rd,, we are still miles off top 6 teams,,thanks Bill

On the whole we have been poor since christmas and have dipped badly.
Martinezs tactics have been found out

No they haven't. Martinez tactics are very good its just that we have not got the players to execute when in promising positions. That costs money. RM will have had a full season to assess the players qualities and will adjust accordingly if BK gives him some cash to spend
