What sort of cake?

And we've said it before haven't we?

You'd have a team of Steve Lomas'.

I'd have a team of Benito Carbone's!

You'd draw a lot of games 0-0 but get the odd 1-0.
I'd score lots and concede lots!

Odds are we'd both be mid table!

No mate, I'd have 11 flair players who'd also be a well oiled team who wouldn't mind tracking back and playing the team game

Not likely though

I think it's impossible to be both a flair player and a selfless team player

Every time someone calls him Delo, Gerry or Del Boy my face does this:

Is there anything you can take for this?

Greetings,

Arsenal supporter here just want to comment on Arteta. I understand why some fans might be upset at his celebration but he has been with us a few years now. I do not find it disrespectful for him to celebrate by lifting the Arsenal badge because this game was extremely important for us to win.

I think one year is enough time to show respect to your old club. Van Persie did not celebrate against us last year either game he scored. But this year, with United struggling he celebrated like crazy when his goal put United up against us. I did not get upset at that at all although I know some gooners did on twitter.

Arsenal fans for instance should recognize that while Van Persie celebrated his goal he didn't go on twitter to personally mock us like Nasri has done since he went to City. I think Arteta still deserves your support for what he did for you for years and at least realize that he has been class unlike Nasri. If Arteta took to twitter mocking your fans because he might win a trophy and you won't then I agree he would be classless like Nasri. But this is his third season for us so I think him celebrating shouldn't be taken so much as disrespect to your fans but rather celebrating with his teammates and friends on Arsenal.

I didn't think anything of Arteta's celebrations. They weren't even a blip on my 'take affront' radar screen

Thanks mate, if it makes you feel any better. I wasn't in the least aggrieved.

A lot of Arsenal fans were complete and utter pricks to Van Persie, that's probably why he celebrated like he did.

We all know what pointing/kissing/licking the badge means mate.

As it happens I couldn't care less what he does. He gave us some superb service and we got a good few million for him. He won't be getting the reception he got at GP last season again but he's probably not bothered.

Good luck with the rest of the season.

Stuff that. Hope Wigan batter them.

You need me to explain the notion/concepts of what 'twisting the knife', 'rubbing salt in the wounds', 'getting kicked when you are down' etc etc? mean? Really?

Yes, because the other results have no relevance to us losing away at Arsenal. Putting it in its simplest terms - none of the other ties had any bearing whatsoever on our result, and had we won then there is absolutely no certainty that a) City would have lost ( why could our result be different than it really was, and not theirs?) and b) the balls would have come out of the bag in the same way they did.
Do you think that shower over the park are thinking that "the knife is being twisted" because Arsenal knocked them out and now Hull, Wigan and Sheff Utd are in the semis?

ok mate x

He cost us a goal. Why aren't you saying anything about Mirallas when he should have squared it to Lukaku for the open goal at 1-1? OHHH I KNOW! Because hes our player.
That was my first thought, but after watching it again I could see that it would've been hard to get the ball to Lukaku.
There was a defender between them and Mirallas had to release the ball right then.

He grabbed the badge because he was scoring against us and we all know what he meant.

We parted on great terms. We have shown him nothing but respect since. Therefore, he is a tit. I'm not angry at him. In the grand scheme of things, it's less than nothing, this gesture, but he is definitely a tw4t.
