good effort blues, defended well in the 2nd half there, two very even teams and draw was fair. If we attacked games like this like we did in the first half, i would have a lot less gripes with moyes. barkley was brilliant, as well as felli imo. important point towards europe if we're brutally honest, just about keeps us in the race for 4th, think the spurs one was more must win and more winnable.

good performance though, hoping to see plenty more big game performances from barkley in these big fixtures in the future

shame baines was well below par, we would have won with him bang on form, just wish we had a game where we could let him nurse his injury a bit

Wow.

Not read thread. Don't care what everyone else says but Barkley was far from brilliant. Should have been subbed much earlier.

Think we could've had the three points tonight, that said, some cracking defending was happening tonight, Coleman and Jags were very good. Barkley looks decent, didn't look out of place on the pitch tonight despite being surrounded by quality players keep it up lad. Felt we should've played more football instead of the direct pass which is rare we actually benefit from and when we did get into goalscoring positions it was all on the deck. Wenger is a moaning meerkat looking man, Wilshere is a ****house and Vic should've crippler crossfaced him and Arteta can **** right off the little whopper with his card waving antics, disgrace doing that to your former club no respect.

While I agree with you on most points, Anichebe had a hard job today. His support was a lot deeper than usual and he was 20 yards isolated a lot of the time. I would have appreciated a little more commitment and a lot less whinging from him, but he did a job probably only Fellaini could better.

Jelavic is not good at contesting the long balls, and his hold up play is not as good as Anichebe's (which was not particularly good today, it has to be said).

Good assessment.

- T.V. commentators were obviously ex arsenal players or were arsenal supporters
- Barkley looked OK for once
- The Chebe huffed and puffed but failed to blow them down
- We still need a decent striker
- We look way better when Fellaini plays deep

Fair result. Not the worst result for us. Keeps the 4 point gap with you guys and 2 points ahead of Spurs with playing 1 game more. Giroud let us down big time. A game thats so tight with few chances, you have to take your clear chances. Btw Coleman was great for you guys
Spot on - sad to say.

I honestly can not remember one ball over the top to Vic doing anything but Arsenal winning the ball back

The Barkley chance,Pineaar chance and Vic chance where all from balls played along the floor I think

Yep. Vic was outplayed tonight. Maertesacker could have had MOTM easily.

Why? Was it because he wasn't on par with Pele? How did he do compared to the rest of the team?
He wasn't on a a par with the rest of the team. Way off the pace. No energy

He had little flashes here and there but tbh looked way off the pace mentally, physically and skillfully throughout most of the match.

Yes, he will come good in the future but at the moment is a long way off.

He is 19 not 29.
