Are we stronger than last season?

Too early to be sure, but on paper we are stronger in parts, and weaker in others. We were never likely to replace Lukaku's goal for goal output, but I think we all can agree, this window fails to even come close to filling the void he left.
Big responsibility for DCL and Sandro. Rooney, (when sober), will do his part in getting us goals, but it will not be enough to rely on him.
Koeman will need to step up his game plans, and that is my biggest worry, as I don't think he has the team he was hoping for when the window opened.
Hopefully we can get to January unscathed and fill the holes we should have sorted out this window.
Only time will tell.

Goalkeeper - yes
Defence - yes
Midfield - yes
Wing forward positions - yes
Striker - no

Goalkeeper - much
Defence -slightly but only when Coleman back to full fitness, until then worse
Midfield - more players but they are all the same, actual midfield no better
Striker - massively worse

I guess we'll find out at the end of the season :)

But I reckon we're stronger in all areas with the notable and slightly silly exception of the striker

We're better on a player by player basis.

But in terms of balance we're horrendously weaker. Whole side is like a jigsaw puzzle that is impossible to complete no matter how you try.

A lot of truth in that, I reckon as per last season and a lot of the time when Moyes was in charge, injuries and suspensions may help us find a team that can hit a sweet spot. There are too many (atho similar) options at the moment.

We are far suprerior than last year as we have not replaced the lost goals

Why didn't we sign these players last year with Rom? Would have easily finished top six maybe even top four.
