Where are where we should be

Toffeeslam

Player Valuation: £40m
After a horror few years where is have had the squad gutted and facing relegation battles and a crackpot owner who nearly sold the club to a Ponzi scheme we finally have some hope going forward

But with where we been are we really expecting a European place and a big cup run ?

I would have thought the target this season is mid table and keep building rather than expecting instant success

How in God's name is wanting to beat Sunderland at home in the 3rd round of the FA Cup, expecting "instant results".

That nonsense is what's wrong with the club, nobody has any semblance of a standard

How dare you question the moyesiah.

Mediocrity is success and anything who thinks we should be beating the worst ever premier league team at home is completely irrational.

As a mid-table team, we should always expect to beat a promoted side no matter the status of our players and bench. To me, that’s not instant success. Winning the PL this season is unrealistic. Beating a promoted side at home should absolutely be an expectation. The fact it isn’t says everything about our club.
