(Another) Teachers strike

The thing you've got to remember is that the aim of school isn't to educate so much as it is to reduce unemployment levels by keeping kids off the streets.

Prison does largely the same thing and has the side effect of teaching much more practical skills like lock picking, knife fighting and sphincter exercising.

All you need to do is pass a law that makes ilegal something that everyone under 18 does. Personally I suggest text messaging.

That made my howl btw

We should have a 'Running man'-esque game show where we play teachers from each school against each other in a fight to the death, this should prevent any further strikes and keep kids off the street by the way of quality entertainment, I brought this idea up to my cousin who is a school teacher and he plans to put it forward to his union.

I went to a private school and as a result haven't experienced the full on school experience that most teachers have to deal with, but even in my experience with smaller numbers of kids per class i still had and have huge respect for those who taught me and continue to teach. There are some great perks to being a teacher, but the thought of trying to control a class of 25 or more unruly teenagers gives me sweats, never mind actually doing it.

Have you read The Life of Pi?

Same principle.

No mate. Please explain it to me so i don't have to spend 10 minutes googling to attempt a knowledgable sounding response.

Just has to spend the whole book training a tiger that is trapped in a life boat on the Pacific with him not to eat him.

If you like reading it's seriously boss.
