Oh mercy! Electronic Rumplestiltskin flashback.

Best ever put down. Beating even Halewood Blue's 'Touchdown!' on TXBill.

Hahaha. Who was that? Deja vu like.

Nothing beats TOUCHDOWN! though. Even Bill applauded it. Halewood's finest moment other than getting onto Beattie being sh*te after his second game for us.

It was something to do with Kirkby. It just ended the argument like a bullet between the eyes. We need more references to electronic Rumplestiltskins.

Touchdown! Made me laugh out loud which I don't do often enough.

Has anyone noticed how much teachers literacy is lacking when they write notes about kids, like I'm smarter than these guys who are responsible for making the next generation smarter than the last, meaning they should be very intelligible individuals, but alas, no.

Did you google translate that into Arabic then back into English mate?

To tie this in with another thread:

In 2005 Sir Philip Green awarded himself £1.2bn, the biggest pay check in British corporate history. The pay-out was channelled through a network of offshore accounts, via tax havens in Jersey and eventually to Green’s wife’s Monaco bank account.

The dodge saved Green, and cost the tax payer, £285m - that would be enough to pay for the salaries of 20,000 NHS nurses, or the full, hiked up £9,000 tuition fees for almost 32,000 students.

And some of you lot think teachers are trying to fleece you for wanting to hang on to the pensions they were promised when they signed up for the job.

Yeah, but y'see that's not the right way to think. It's his money. He earnt it. The government didn't. I'd much rather people that earnt their money fairly got to keep as much of it as possible, rather than a government taking whatever they please, to spend on whatever they want.

Democracy and all that y'know.

But what happens when they've got more money than they can possibly ever spend and they just squirrel it away in offshore bank accounts, taking it out of the economy?

What do we do about our public services? Rely on the philanthropic goodness/whim of people like Phillip Green? Isn't that what happened back in Victorian times and earlier?

To be honest, what they do with their money is their own business, just as what you and I do with ours is no one elses concern but ours.

Hobbes was wrong, just as Plato was, it's just a pity so many still refuse to accept it.

That's fine, but then they shouldn't be relying on British services and British citizens to keep their companies running and keep that money rolling in.

I look forward to the day when these absurd loopholes are shut down and people pay what they ought to pay. If they don't like it, then they can go and live in and operate their entire business out of one of the other wonderful countries around the world.

The money that people like Green are denying this country goes towards things like the NHS which treat his workers when they're ill, or the fire department who'll race to one of his factories or shops when they're burning to the ground, or the police officers who'll stop thieves stealing his hard earned money and property.

If he doesn't like the rules, he should go and play the game somewhere else.

Sure you can. You just need to earn it.

What gives me the right to dip my hand into your pocket and take money you've earned? Teachers are complaining about just that and you're sticking up for them. What is the difference?

Glad we agree on the teachers mate. Wrong isn't it? I mean they do an honest days work and don't get ridiculous tax breaks because they're super rich and were scared they'll emigrate to Lichtenstein unless we pander to them.

Hell make these teachers hereditary Lords!
