(Another) Teachers strike

Good for you, and sod everybody else who has to earn money to pay tax to pay you your salary......ffs we've lost the plot in this country and I blame selfish teachers for taking us down this road.......

I think you'll find that private schools' teachers' wages are paid for by the fees, not the tax payer. In fact, seeing as they pay for their children's education directly and pay taxes to fund state education, we should be doing all we can to encourage more parents to utilise private education in this country.

Before the masses descend onto their local schools with pitch forks and burning torches, I think it should be noted that industrial action is planned, which is not always a strike.

I work in a private school so my salary is paid by the parents who pay fees. I cost the taxpayer nothing and the kids I teach save the taxpayer money because they're not in state education.

So why are you going on strike, do you want the parents to pay more........

No, it's because I believe in union action and I think that you can't change someone's terms and conditions without consent.

I agree with this completely. It's the same with people who pay for private health care. But the people who earn a good living providing these services should show restraint when those that pay are having to make do in these difficult times.....

There are people losing their jobs, their pensions and their will to live because of the difficult times we are in, why should teachers be protected from this.......

So teachers should have less security and pension rights because others do? That's backwards thinking surely ( no offence). Surely we should all fight to protect the right to employment and pensions? Not roll over and die because others are suffering?

So who should pay, just answer that one question......
