Pretty small time that if you ask me, he was only at the club for a two seasons, not like he was here his entire career.

True this, we moan about them being biased but the moan when one isnt, never thought about it like that. End of the day he was doing a job for Sky, representing Sky, that had nothing to do with Everton and didnt take anything away from what a legend he was.

He never changed his mind, he was never actually offered the job, Johnson just spoke to him about the idea of being a manager, even though he had no experience of managment.

Always remember in the 86/87 season away at Coventry (1-1) when Andy Gray walks in the away end with his mate and I piped up for him to get a shirt on " I wish I could, love the club" he said. He sounded genuinely gutted.
