Speaking of lies, saying that getting fired and getting relegated arent failures. Maybe youve been an Everton fan for too long, but the rest of the world views getting fired due to performing badly as a failure. The rest of the world views getting hired to keep your team in the premier league, and then not doing so and getting relegated as a failure.

Unless you can somehow twist things into that he WASNT brought in to keep Hull from relegation, then he failed to do the thing he was brought in TO DO. Failure. Fail, failing, failure.

Yes that’s one unbalanced way to judge things.
Taking over a team that were bottom with the worse premier league squad I’ve known was an impossible job.
By the same reasoning if for example, Chester went on a run of promotions without improving the squad, arrived in the premier league and then were relegated - would you argue that the manager that took them on that journey was unsuccessful?
Equally Pochettino left Espanyol with them at the foot of the table heading for relegation. He is now viewed as a failure?
Circumstances play a huge roll in relegations!

Very true.

You can vault me if this doesn't happen.

If Southampton hire Marco Silva they will finish above us.
Surely that depends on who we get in just as much as Silva at Southampton? I get that you rate him mate but you must be able to see other managers that are capable of doing just as good a job as him?

I'd Sack SA right now and hire Silva.

Me too and not because i am mad on Silva, just that there is nobody who could possibly be as bad as Allardyce. Anyone would be an improvement. 3 points out of a possible 18 and playing the worst football i have seen in years from an Everton team. Cannot see where the next win is coming from and sick to death of all of the negative defeatist relegation battle paving claptrap coming from him. If the next 7 games are similar to the last 7, we will be in danger of being relegated. I think it is a massive risk to leave him in charge for the remainder of the season.

its a catch 22 and a season I just hope and pray we survive !

Sam came in and I have done all I can to support him although he was not my preffered choice Simone , Tuchel then Silva was my choices

But the way we have played since the Chelsea game is a major concern and if this goes into the next 5 games max , there will be a revolt and I will have to throw in the towel and admit Sam has to go

Da Silva I believe would take it if Sam goes , its reported due to him wanting to come to us the players lost confidence in him , but is that the only reason as he has a trend of doing great the then losing it ?

Therefore who else as a manager in their right mind who would come to Everton , like bringing in Sam it would drag on , be another panic appointment , high risk of being the wrong choice also how will the players be able to handle 3 managers in one season ?

So many questions and who has the answers ?

I don't think we are going to replace Sam if it's not done now to get Silva.

As for other managers. I'm sure there are but I can't think of any we could get at least not until the summer.

Mate if your telling me it's a straight choice between sticking to BFS until May (which will admittedly be a few very painful mouths) and then perusing a quality manager to lead us forward. Or sacking BFS right now for Silva to take over for what will at minimum be a two and a half year deal (knowing Kenwright it's as likely to be a five plus year deal!) then it's not even a competition for me.

Seriously the only thing that makes me just about tolerate BFS right now is the thought of Silva being our manager. I can make it though till the end of this season with Sam if I have the happy knowledge that sombody better will replace him after it's over. The thought of Marco Silva being our boss for the next two plus years is more then I can stand!

I've had enough of the short term nonsense at this club, I can't stand the idea of us going down Watfords route with the endless sackings. Right now we need a long term manager who can unify our fanbase and the club to lead us forward. If the power's that be at Goodison honestly consider Silva to be that man then I am seriously worried for the future of this club because the only trophy's he would have us competing for is the league one play off trophy!

I get you dont rate Silva and fair enough that is your opinion and therefore it makes sense to you to put up with Sam until the summer. I on the otherhand do rate him and think he would be a great long term appointment. If you rated him so would you. The main point I am making is the timing so soon after appointing Sam shouldnt matter if you think he is the right man. It just looks bad but no one will care about that if he does well.

Where are we possibily going to get a long term manager from?

We are an absolute basket case. Our best bet was to back Martinez originally or Koemam.

Allardyce was never a long term option. I can’t stand him, he is utterly and absolutely atrocious. His idea of football is worse than the idea of sitting down with a picnic bowl with cheese & crackers and watch grass grow, just because.

Silva doesn’t even seem a poor choice. Either that or get the plonk out and dinkums give out a shout to Eddie flippin Howe. He would rock Goodison out, while it still exists. There’s ya long term manager, Eddie Howe. Crickey, his style leaves Allardyce in the middle of shark invested waters mate.

But the hypothetical manager would have loads of promotions on his CV - Silva was at Hull for a few months

Could always bring back a certain Mr Moyes from West Ham in the summer...
