For me he's pretty much a perfect 'backup' player for us - past his best but still has something to offer and is generally happy at the club. One of our more underappreciated players in all honesty
Has been a decent signing since joining us and I'm glad we have him as an option
I like him a great deal
Play him RB and JJ left back till January. Improvement on yesterday
How he didn’t start yesterday I don’t know and how Allardyce didn’t play him down the left to nullify Salah in the 2nd half is also a mystery.
I know he did but they weren’t the same threat as Salah in my opinion. We just got lucky that Klopp, bizarrely, decided to take him off.Well he played him down the right to nullify Robertson and Mane, mate
When were talking about a 'squad' game, lets take it a bit further and say we have 2 players for every position.
Think of all the other players you could have on the right midfield...
He's really hardly done anything since he joined permanently and I don't really know why he was signed.
Probably good in the championship or bottom of the league...

This must surely be the solution until January now. United were able to turn Ashley bleedin' Young into a decent left back, so let's at least opt for Lennon over the atrocious Martina! I know Kenny won't be as effective on the left, but he can't be as bad as Martina, can he?Had Robinson on strings at one point, there was no one in the box to cross to, but it did give me a good laugh.
In what way is Lennon not good enough? I read this a lot on here about our players, not just Lennon. What do you want from Lennon that he is not providing?
Thing is though, he does offer something in attack. He's been involved in plenty of goals for Everton since he's been here, including as recently as the Huddersfield game.
I don't agree at all. Lennon is and always has been a decent premier league player. We are a decent premier league team.
As for saying he has hardly done anything, well he won our player of the month award when he first got here then missed months with personal issues.
He was signed because he is a good pro in the top flight who gives us options, the exact type of player we should have as a squad man.
I've always seen Lennon as an old-fashioned right wing, getting to the byline and crossing. Trouble is his crossing often didn't amount to much. That was Spurs criticism of him anyway. Since coming here he's been useful and energetic but he tires quickly. Not destined to stay much longer I'd say.
