Hmm to be seen. Rather have Bolasie there.
True, but that isn't possible right now and as such Lennon is a decent squad player! He has always been involved in some of our most important runs in recent years.

His defensive work is second to none for a winger and he still has pace to exploit.

I think he offers plenty going forward for a team who attacks more. His work rate alone creates chances.

Neither of them are particularly prolific when it comes to final ball etc but both have their uses. Deciding who plays will be a nice problem to have.

Pretty much neutered Mane in the second half. Which made it all the more baffling as to why Klopp took Salah off against Martina.

@Papa Shango @Abraders

Like I said, defensively he's brilliant, been great for Kenny's development but his output is zero. Bolasie offers far more going forward when he's back.

I truly fail to see the use of a wide midfielder player who isn't very effective in attack...theres really no end product other than him running back to act as a buffer for Kenny (which he doesn't look like he even needs).

Best to play a more attacking player who takes the game to the opposition, and no, that's not Bolasie :)

He has produced plenty of times though. People get this perceived notion of a player and it just seems to stick.

Lennon is a neat and tidy player. Gets the ball, runs with it and plays it off to someone else in a better position.

Kenny absolutely needs a buffer right now by the way. It will help him develop and our shape looks a lot more solid with Lennon in the side. It also enables Kenny to go forward when the opportunity arises as he knows there will be someone covering him.

He may as well be a RB then.

He's a positive player who is always looking to get forward and create something, and also has no problem tracking back and helping out defensively. There are a few other players in the team that should pull their finger out and follow his example of putting in a fully committed shift.

When were talking about a 'squad' game, lets take it a bit further and say we have 2 players for every position.

Think of all the other players you could have on the right midfield...

He's really hardly done anything since he joined permanently and I don't really know why he was signed.

Probably good in the championship or bottom of the league...

Steven Naismith...or Lennon?

Both not good enough...

Thing is though, he does offer something in attack. He's been involved in plenty of goals for Everton since he's been here, including as recently as the Huddersfield game.
