If the 'papers are to be believed Aarron is suffering from an anxiety-related condition. My son's life was essentially wrecked due to anxiety and the depression that followed. He had a great job and a good life, but out of the blue he just got ill. He didn't drink or take drugs - it just happened. Thankfully he's now recovering but he went through a torrid time.

appreciate you sharing your son's story and great to hear he is improving. it also highlights alot of things some don't realize. alot of people assume people get depressed because of drink, drugs, or a bad life situations ( many do, but it's not exclusive).

especially with celebrities or wealthy athletes, alot of people come out with "oh they're rich, what right do they have to be depressed?" mental illnesses are just that, ILLNESSES. just because someone makes 30k+ plus a week doesn't mean they are immune to illness. things like depression and anxiety warp your thinking in terrible ways. you could be the most loved person with plenty of great friends and a supportive family and mental illness could make you think all those people are better off with out you. it's an awful struggle

Hope your lad is doing well mate. I went through a bout of depression a couple of years ago. It took my brother telling me something was wrong for me to even realize something was wrong.

Why is this being disliked? I'm serious. I think people have read it the wrong way. If you have issues with depression and the crowd are on your back of course it's gonna effect you.
I'm speaking from experience too.

Edit: possibly a tad harsh, but whatever. For what it's worth, I have (and am) in a similar situation to what happened with Aaron. I was even driving when I called for help.

Nailed it. Despite what some other people above seem to think. Only takes a small error for everything to start closing in and be magnified. Hope he, and anybody else in a similar situation, get all the help they need.
