Sad news and hope he's okay.

Only yesterday was Williams saying that he's one of his best mates and so it shows that he does have people to support him through this. Hopefully/no doubt the club are doing everything they can.

Why/how does this stuff like this become public knowledge ? Is there no law to protect someones privacy ?

Did Everton announce it themselves ? Just can't see any benefit for anyone in making it public.

The depression thread on here is brilliant for pouring out your emotions and inner-most thoughts, I use it frequently as a form of therapy. Would strongly recommend that others who have cluttered heads post in there too, or just read it and learn of the moving stories from troubled folk and brilliant love shown to them by some exceptional people.

I read that thread now and again. It's always an eye opener when you see fellow blues who either, need advice/reassurance or, are those giving the advice/reassurance. It's comforting to know that there are people available to speak to if fans ever need them.

The sad thing is that a Section 136 of the Mental Health Act, which is being reported is purely to Police's power to take someone acting in a way the appears to be mentally unwell to a place of safety. This is normally the local A&E. The person would then be assessed by Mental Health Professionals. To assess if he needs to be detained in Hospital under the Mental Health Act. If he needed to be in hospital and agreed to go in he would go in informally and not under a section. He may even now be at home and receiving treatment there. The news about him being sectioned at all is not fair on the poor man, he has his rights to confidentiality. I wish him a speedy recovery but most mental illness's take time.

I'm hoping it was done honestly and legitimately. It shouldn't be a taboo subject. The more people that come out and say "hey, you know what, I need help and it's okay" the better. We need to get rid of the stigma.

Obviously if it was leaked that's awful, but I don't know if it has been in this case, and that is terrific the family have had the courage to come forward.

I think people don't realize how much fame and expectations can break somebody. There is a reason you see so many actors and actresses with serious mental health issues. Some don't have the temperament to deal with it. Hopefully everything works out for him in the end.

Life's hard I don't think people realize just how hard it can get for some. I hope he's ok. Curious as to what actually is happening? Did the police think he was being suicidal? Does he have substance abuse problems? No matter what I hope nothing but the best for him. We all battle demons of different shapes and sizes. Everybody deserves respect you never know what internal battle they are fighting.
