I mean they're both assaults whilst performing the duties of their role.

Both unacceptable, working in nhs I've seen how people can become complacent about assault based on the person or motive.

Only zero tolerance works for me for physical assault. Plus Farage didn't see him buy the milkshake, he didn't know what else might be in there, add in motive for public humiliation and glad the guy got sent down for it.

Hope the syringe guy gets a long sentence.

Oh yeah undoubtedly, I have no faith in the US system even with convictions now.

Pardoning criminals just because they support you seems to be enough these days.

The US has lost it's integrity and credibility in the most globally public way possible. Both incredibly sad and scary.

Well it looks like those ICE agents who murdered those two American citizens aren’t even going to be held accountable for their actions.

Out only hope is that our American counterparts come to their senses and make the mid-term elections that are coming up count. We’ll see, I guess.

I wouldn't like to be them when a human being gets into the presidentship next cycle. Shoot someone 3 times in the face and someone else 10 times in the back, I'd expect the families to want their say eventually.

Mark Hehir told the hearing he was seen as a "hero" by the public after retrieving a stolen necklace.

Shame there isn't a means to promote boycotting the buses. And I don't believe for a second the thief was returning to shake hands with the lady he'd snatched the necklace from. Seems the lesson here is for the have-a-go-hero to break the next criminals jaw and no mistake. The law, the pigs, the pish flaps in the cps, and the same in criminal law are a stain on humanity, a pox on them all.

Uk is a vassal state of the US capitalist imperium, as is my place of birth, Australia and Ireland where I live.
Are the leaders of these countries not just mid level bureaucrats of the imperium. They are incapable of making decisions that are contrary to US. And that is a lot of decisions, and if you dont tow the line the US will take the 'appropriate measures or relegate you to a sanctioned country, goodbye economy.
However times are changing and Canada's Carney has taken the moment to remind the imperial state of what sovereignty means and what the middle powers can do. And backed that up with action in trade deals with China.
Farage will never take back the UKs sovereignty. Farage will never be able to take the UK out into the world and form mutually beneficial relations with other countries without his Lords say so.
Vote for Farage and you'll find what's left of the UK fully annexed.

Those of you who are Church goers will hear the Beatitudes on Sunday in the Gospel.

Blessed are the poor in spirit, the gentle, those who mourn, who hunger and thirst for righteousness, the merciful, the pure in heart, the peacemakers, those persecuted in the name of right.

Could do with more world and national 'leaders' taking note and living accordingly.

Sadly I am very pessimistic about what we see every day.

There's so much information out there, far much more than "It wasn't too long ago that only rich, male landowners and business owners had the right to vote".
Independent agencies exist and you know this. It's not a barrier to voting, it's of national importance that a country decides what direction it takes with educated mandates from the masses, not some farcical brexit ceremonies.

What about people with learning difficulties?

Do you exempt them from voting?

People who did not have access to a decent education in childhood?

If people simply don’t like immigrants and there’s a party that appeals to them they should be allowed to vote for them.

Also, it’s not like anyone ever sticks to their manifesto anyway so it’s hard for people who know what they’re voting for to actually get it.

I voted for Keir starmer to become leader of the Labour Party only for him to uturn against every single one of his pledges.
