A heartfelt apology or a reaction to appease?

Its a lose - lose situation of their own making this. If there's no apology they are bang out of order and insulting the fans, if there is one its scripted and an insult to the fans.
Actually seems pretty sincere but that doesn't get us to Wembley. As for Moyes, did wrong playing Neville but I think its fair to blame the players far more than Moyes. More than enough to win out there and anyone who thinks that our players are that mentally weak that if Moyes doesn't give exactly the right braveheart speech before a game against inferior opposition, then they are somehow exempt from criticism for their performance is an idiot.
These players were playing for a trip to Wembley and a chance at the cup. I am fairly sure that if Moyes had gone round and had at it with their WAGs they should still be up for that game ffs.

Good point mate but ultimately it was his responsibility to ensure that collectively they didn't go out with that attitude.

'Kinell. Neville's been a tit but people who hated him before aren't half using this whole episode as ammunition, the word "scape goat" comes to mind.
People are forgetting what a disgrace "Felly" has been and we still receive no word or apology from him, hope he's not even on the bench on Saturday.

Really though, people who dislike Neville have been waiting for something like this for years, quite sad really.

Tony Hibbo has become a cult hero and is not even playing.

Im still not arsed, ive still not opened me season ticket renewal either, and if i didnt have a season ticket it i wouldnt of got tickets for saturdays match. there is has been defeats and bad perfomances but this was the worse in all my years as a blue. maybe because there was more expectation. if we get beat on saturday i wont be arsed either.

Too right.

Moyes was doing the commentary for 5live on the United - Real game, 100% preparing for the biggest game of the year so far ffs.

Wigan at home. Nah, it's in the bag. Spot of media work will do.

This kind of statement is so stupid.

There's only so much preparation you can do. What should he do, sit at home all night drawing cute diagrams of passing triangles to show the players ?

If I'm on £75k a week... I'm doing my job.

He clearly didn't prepare well as we got bummed by a team in the bottom 3 at home in a directionless, passionless performance.

No mate. Not even a single evening off. Every waking hour needs to be spent obsessing over the coming game or we'll get ****ted 3-0. Common sense.

Sometimes teams under Mourinho's leadership get beaten handily, that doesn't mean he doesn't prepare or that he's not a very good manager. And no, i'm not implying the two are similar.

Saying that Moyes should have not done the punditry because spending more time preparing would have stopped us getting beaten is ridiculous. The players have to take a large part of the responsibility for that performance, they're the ones on the friggin pitch.

To suggest that Moyes doesn't do his job because he does some part time pundit work on the side doesn't make any sense. Or do people who earn 75k a week not get to do anything other than their jobs ?

Name another working manager in top flight football who had a FA Cup quarter final on the weekend, that took time out to be a pundit for a match? And won?

Throw that on your "list of first" Everton you tits

Brendan Rogers didn't do any pundit work before he lost to Oldham two rounds before. Quite baffling.
